Story
Meet Cooper! A spirited three-and-a-half-year-old Redbone Coonhound/Beagle mix currently in Raleigh, NC, whose essence is pure sunshine wrapped in a soft, fawn-colored coat and powered by boundless energy. At about 45 pounds, Cooper is the perfect medium-sized companion for anyone who believes life is better with a little mud on their shoes and a dog at their side! This people-loving, squirrel-chasing enthusiast is always up for an adventure, whether it’s hiking through the woods, strolling the neighborhood, or playing an enthusiastic game of chase in the backyard. He thrives on movement and engagement and belly rubs. Lots and lots of belly rubs (seriously, he’s a professional belly-rub receiver)! Cooper’s friendly nature makes him a dream companion. He’s been best buds with a Labrador Retriever for over three years and has shown nothing but patience and kindness around toddlers, including his current family’s one-year-old child. With his affectionate heart and easygoing attitude, he’d do beautifully in a home with other dogs and children alike. While he hasn’t spent much time around cats, Cooper’s calm demeanor gives hope that, with proper introductions, he could adapt just fine. Daily walks? Yes, please! A yard to explore? Even better! Cooper is looking for a caregiver who can offer not just love, but also the active lifestyle he truly needs to thrive. He's house-trained, crate-trained, fully vaccinated, and neutered. Though he hasn’t had formal training, he’s already nailed commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “wait,” and he’s a total champ when left alone for short periods. Cooper’s most charming quirk? He loves being part of whatever you’re doing, whether you’re sipping morning coffee or heading out for an evening jog. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and brings a joyful, tail-wagging presence to every moment! Are you ready for a loyal sidekick who can keep up with your adventures and snuggle in during downtime? Cooper might just be your perfect match! Story
Valerie is about 6 yrs. old and weighs 60 pounds. She’s a goofy happy girl who just wants to have fun! Sadly her dad has taken ill and is no longer able to care for her. She is looking for an active person or family that can provide her with the exercise she needs. She is dog friendly as well, but we’re not sure how she is with cats. She likes kids too but can be too rambunctious for little kids. Valerie’s adoption fee is $350.October 24, 2025, 12:53 am
