Story
Merida is a sweet and loving girl who loves to cuddle. She is crate trained, affectionate, and gentle with her humans. She does get playful, and given that she is a coonhoud, she needs exercise and enrichment. The best enrichment for her is smell-based, such as treat puzzles, snuffle mats, or simply hiding treats and toys in the back yard for her to find. She gets along with other big dogs. She has a prey drive, so small dogs and cats are not a good idea. She would love a home where she could be a family member and best friend. Merida hasn't had the easiest life so far but she knows there's a home for her out there somewhere. March 10, 2026, 1:06 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Rosie! I’m a 6-month-old Hound mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love. I’m a happy, playful girl who enjoys exploring the outdoors and making new friends everywhere I go!Rosie is the absolute sweetest girl! She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is very kid- and dog-friendly, crate trained, and knows her name. We’ve been working on basic commands like sit, come, and down, and she’s making great progress! She has learned a lot from watching our dogs and is VERY food motivated. The world outside of the shelter is still new and sometimes a little scary to her, but with support and encouragement she has made a ton of progress! Her confidence grows a little more every day, allowing her goofy personality to come out more and more. She is going to make the best family dog!

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Lucky – Your New Best Friend! Lucky is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a heart full of joy and a personality that charms everyone he meets. A volunteer favorite, Lucky lives for playtime—whether it’s chasing tennis balls, playing fetch in the yard, or lounging with a stick after a good game. He even loves drinking from the hose and showering his favorite humans with kisses! This smart boy is housebroken, food-motivated, and eager to please. He knows commands like “sit,” “drop it,” and comes running when you call, “Lucky, here!” With gentle guidance, Lucky continues to build confidence on leash, though he does like to chew on it—so a metal leash is recommended. Lucky will thrive as the only dog in the home due to some resource guarding, and he has a special soft spot for teenagers. He can be shy around unfamiliar men at first, but with patience and consistency, he forms strong, loyal bonds. Sweet, smart, and always looking for direction, Lucky is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of kisses to his forever home! Lucky weighs 47lbs. and is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 11/30/2022). Lucky has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Lucky's adoption fee is $85. If you want more information about Lucky, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Levi is a walking bundle of joy with a wagging tail and a heart made of marshmallows. He's incredibly sweet, endlessly friendly, and absolutely loves children - tiny humans are some of his favorite people! Levi lives for affection (the more cuddles, the better), and he'll happily soak up all the pets you can give! When he's not charming everyone he meets, you'll find him joyfully tossing his toys around or inviting you to play. Levi's superpower? Making people smile without even trying. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 12:44 pm
