Story
Merida is a sweet and loving girl who loves to cuddle. She is crate trained, affectionate, and gentle with her humans. She does get playful, and given that she is a coonhoud, she needs exercise and enrichment. The best enrichment for her is smell-based, such as treat puzzles, snuffle mats, or simply hiding treats and toys in the back yard for her to find. She gets along with other big dogs. She has a prey drive, so small dogs and cats are not a good idea. She would love a home where she could be a family member and best friend. Merida hasn't had the easiest life so far but she knows there's a home for her out there somewhere. March 10, 2026, 1:06 pm

I’m a happy, playful girl who enjoys exploring the outdoors and making new friends everywhere I go!I’m full of personality- smart, energetic, and always ready for action. I’m also incredibly loyal and love being close to my people. I love to meet new people and soak them in kisses! I get along well with other dogs, though my energy can be a bit much for some calmer pups. With guidance and continued training, I’ll keep learning great manners. I already walk nicely on a leash and already know “sit”—I’m eager to learn and love the extra treats I get out of it!If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and intelligent companion to join you on all your adventures, I could be your perfect match!
