Hey hey I’m May!! I am a 3 year old coonhound and I am a SURVIVOR! I have survived Heartworm treatment and I am free and healthy! I love to RUN! I would be a great companion for someone who is active. I like to go on rides in the car and I love to hike and do trails! I’m a good hound dog that has that awesome hound dog howl! I love my time on the couch like a good girl. Im not destructive so you can leave me out. My nose does take me places so a sturdy fence is important!! I love kitties and other doggies! I would prefer a home without young children, I don’t like being poked and pulled on. I’ve been through enough and I want it to be all about me! I do take some time to warm up and need an experienced adopter. I am in training right now to help make me more confident and the best girl I can be!     Hello, friends! My name is Lulabelle (or Lulu for short). I'm a 9 year old, redbone coonhound. I currently weigh about 95 pounds, which is far too much, so foster mama has put me on a diet and fitness regimen to help me drop some weight and feel better. So far, I'm doing a really good job with it! It helps that I'm a hound dog who likes to sniff and explore. It makes my short, gentle walks so much fun!    I'm a very easygoing, mellow dog. After my daily stroll and sniffing session, I enjoy finding a comfy spot to curl up and snooze in. Despite being a hound dog, I rarely bark and never howl. I'm house trained and walk politely on leash. I don't require a crate when left alone because I don't get into things (in fact, I usually just sleep). I enjoy a good ear rub and back scratch also. I get along great with my furry foster siblings and would not mind living with another mellow dog as long as they don't steal my food or my napping spot. I'm not sure if I've ever met a cat.   Sadly, I have a mass on my spleen, in one of my lungs, and on a paw. This is not operable, so I am considered hospice at this point. I may have months or even years to live, and right now, I am still just fine and enjoying life. Lacy is a 44 # Red Bone Coonhound Mix with a stunning red coat and fluffy tail. She has been spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, house trained and easy to walk. This is a great dog that needs a second chance. Gentle, sweet nature, loves all humans and a great hiking companion.
