Story
Hi everyone, my name is Chief and I am a young Redbone Coonhound mix.I am a large, goofy, happy go lucky puppy with big floppy ears! I am a veryhandsome boy and I am still growing! I just came to the rescue and they aretaking good care of me and helping me gain some weight. My friends at therescue are also helping me learn how to be a good boy. I get very excitedwhen I see someone and I try to get their attention so they come and get meout of my run. I love running and doing zoomies in the play yard. Once Iam done running I try to find a tennis ball to carry around in the yard as Iexplore. It's just so much fun hanging out with my new friends here. I amlearning to play fetch but haven't quite gotten the hang of it....yet. Thevolunteers are also teaching me how to walk on a leash. I am slowly gettingbetter at it and I promise to keep practicing to be perfect! The more treats Iget the harder I will try! Everyone at the rescue loves me and they tell methat one day someone special will come and take me home. Please telleveryone you know about me and help me find a forever family!

Sweetheart who loves the new life she's been exposed to. We have a temp spot for her but they have a lot of dogs and mom has to start working on-site instead of at-home. She was a little howly at first, but now that she is used to the new smells and sights, that has pretty much stopped. For the pic with the ketchup bottle, her foster mom state, "Sadie did a drive by to see if we would share our lunch, but we ignored her and said no gently, and she walked off." She is a little bit of a kleptomaniac. Likes to steal a piece of clothing or a shoe and sleep with it. Other than that, she has proven to be an easy foster. Please consider helping her.

Story
Ralph is a beautiful 6 year old redbone coonhound.    He *loves* playing at the dog park. He is a fundamentally kind and gentle dog.  He is house trained and crate trained. He needs some leash training, as most hounds do.  He's good with kids.  Not a jumper.  Not aggressive.  He would love a yard to explore.  Would make a great hiking partner.   Ralph loves to nap, too!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2023, 12:13 am

Story
Dalia is a one-year old, 40 lbs red hound mix.  She is very sweet and curious.  She is good with other dogs and all people.  (She will chase cats - not aggressively but annoyingly so we recommend a cat-free home). She is good in the car and likes to go on walks.  Dalia has had a hard life - she was shot in the face, side and foot (her owner was trying to kill her) Remarkably, she survived and will be just fine.  If ever a dog deserved a second chance, it's this girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2023, 12:13 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Hounds! Such wonderful, loving, goofy dogs. And here is Hank, sweet right down to his red feet. How could he ever have made it into a rescue and not be beloved by his family? Well, Hank was born into a hunting family , but he refused to hunt. He didn't want to hurt any other animal! So, sweetness or not, he had to go. Here is what his foster has to say about him; 'Hank, low key calm guy. Not bothered by other dogs at all. Doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive.' He just wants to be a good ole boy and be loved. Because he is a hound, we are asking that his adopter have a physical fence to keep his nose from following any special scents. We have made sure he has all his shots , so he is ready to be your own special boy. He promises to make you laugh when he runs about in your backyard or on a walk with those big ears flapping in the breeze. Ready for fun? Hank is your guy! If you are interested in Hank, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2023, 8:45 am

Story
I am a super cool boy. I'm very shy due to past abuse. I will not willingly walk up to someone (unless they have food). I am in a great foster home and she is a great kitty foster and I get to live with other doggy friends too. I really love my bed and a quiet place to rest. I have had some female doggie friends in my presence and I would do very well with another female dog. The presence of another dog brings out the playful side in me. Male dogs may be ok as long as they aren't dominant. I've been around cats and kittens. They like to steal my comfy bed. I just let them. Older children would be best. I've been around small children, but they are just too scary. I have never shown an aggressive side. When coming around me, one needs to be quiet without a lot of commotion. I will let you pet me but I do cower due to previous treatment. I need someone that will be patient with me and give me time. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Hilda is kind of a formal name for such a big goofy girl like me! I am not sure who gave me the name, but they must be old and a little 'stuffy'... So I came from the high kill pound, scared and a little overwhelmed last spring. They basically have to kill almost all the dogs and pups that enter there....except there some very very lucky dogs and pups who get OUT of there- because of rescues! And they picked MEEEEEEEE!!! So I am here growing and playing and eating and running and LIVING! I am ready for the furever family who will love me! I am an ACTIVE girl, good with other male dogs. I am really best as an only dog in a home or with a male buddy who is medium energy. My family needs to be strong doggy leaders so I don't take over the "helm" in my home. So now you know about me, I want to know all about you too! So fill out the application and we can learn more about each other! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
