Story
Mamacita is a dignified and gentle female dog, hoping to find a loving home. She is quiet and perhaps a bit shy, but once she warms up to you, you'll see her friendly and sweet side come out. Mamacita is a lovely companion and very well-behaved. She is a mature lady who has been around the block a few times. She was picked up at the Pilot truck stop, hungry and pregnant. Her eight puppies were born at the shelter happy and healthy. She would do best in a quiet home without too many rowdy pets, or even as the queen of the castle! If you're looking for a best friend who will be gentle and loving by your side, come meet Mamacita!

Meet Rygar! He is really sweet and dog friendly. He loves to snuggle with people. he will press his head into you for hugs. Such a great dog that would make a terrific family pet! He has lots of playful energy. He walks and runs like he high steps. Knows his name really well, if he hears it, he will come straight to you. Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 1 yr old and weighs close to 30lbs. He is currently at one of our boarding/daycare partners in Lee's Summit. If you are able to foster him please reach out Adoption Process: - STEP 1: Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee is $280. It helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports.
