Story
Luke is incredibly fun-loving and sweet. He wants to cuddle with you, be your sidekick and make you laugh. He loves to visit every bed and sofa in the house daily, roll around and kick pillows in the air, snort, grunt and undo any tidiness that you achieved. Goofball is his perfect adjective. He loves to drag a squeaky toy through every floor and room of the house as well as the yard. Tug of War is a favorite pastime and he loves sunbathing on his back (no sense of modesty). And if you have a walk-in shower... well, he will join you, suds and all. Luke has a high prey drive and is mildly competitive with other dogs. Squirrels and critters set his imagination on fire - and he wants to do something about it. While he's making incredible progress on leash walks (he knows where the leash hangs and he's happy to lead you to it), he pulls hard much of the time still and has miles to go to be a trusty companion you'll enjoy taking a stroll with. Luke sits and shakes paws on command, and crates amazingly well. Say the word and he goes, and he's content there for hours of self-calming peace and quiet. In foster, he crates through the night but we're 100% sure he'd love to snuggle up in your bed if you prefer. Luke is potty-trained and house-trained to perfection, as long as you don't mind addressing the houndly sport of Counter Surfing. He hasn't damaged any furniture and shows no interest in chewing shoes or clothing thievery. Considers ice cubes to be a delicacy! As hounds go, Luke actually isn't much of a drooler. He will crowd you when you are eating or snacking, but definitely respects a spray bottle on his way to learning his don't-be-at-the-table manners. Luke knows no stranger, once he figures out you like your visitors and gets past his initial reservations. While instinctively a bit protective, if you are at ease with someone he settles down and becomes a one-dog-welcoming-party. Human-height hugs and kisses may occur, fair warning! 4 yr. 67 lb. Neuter, vaccines, micrcochip provided
