Story
If you're looking for a dog who checks all the boxes, look no further than Ivy! Ivy is a beautiful 1-year-old Redbone Hound/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile. Weighing approximately 50 pounds, this sweet girl is the total package—loving, smart, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. Ivy has never met a stranger. She absolutely adores people and greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and her signature paw shake. One of her favorite things is offering her paw for attention, and she's always ready to soak up affection from her favorite humans. Ivy's best buddy, our German Shepherd Roxas usually does not like most dogs, but adores Ivy. That's how much calming effect Ivy has on other doggies. When they go on walks, you can see her on video, how this wonderful girl walks beautifully on a leash and has excellent manners both at home and out in public. She is the kind of dog who easily adjusts to new situations and takes life's changes in stride. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or heading out for an adventure, Ivy is happy to be by your side. Ivy is also fantastic with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. Her friendly and gentle nature makes her a joy to have around. Sadly, Ivy found herself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own. Shelter staff quickly noticed what a special dog she was, and her sweet temperament helped save her life. Now she is ready for the happy ending she deserves—a forever family who will shower her with the love and affection she so willingly gives to everyone around her. Ivy is currently being fostered in Texas but is able to go to anywhere in the States and even in Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Ivy currently weighs about 50 lbs and is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention. To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Ivy's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and a fitting Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Meet Willy! Willy is a bright and lovable pup who came to us to work on his reactivity toward men and to improve his overall obedience. While he was initially unsure and reactive in certain situations, Willy has made impressive progress through consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement. With time and trust, Willy has shown his sweet and eager-to-please nature. He's learned to stay calm in new environments, respond to commands reliably, and build confidence around the people who once made him nervous. Willy is a great example of how patience, guidance, and the right support can help a dog grow into their best self. We're so proud of how far he's come!   ##2499010##

Story
It is with a heavy heart that I am looking to find a new home for my Bella. I found her at an animal shelter in North Carolina where I was living at the time. I have had her since she was a small pup in 2018. She is spayed and 8-years-old. She is a healthy, spayed female who is up to date on all vaccinations and has been a wonderful companion. She is friendly with people, does well with families, and gets along with other dogs. She has a sweet personality and enjoys being around her people. She eats Purina One Chicken and Rice flavor food about a cup twice a day, morning and night. She doesn't bark which is why I picked her in the first place. As a foxhound, she would do best with an active family or individual who can give her regular exercise, walks, and companionship. She still has plenty of life and love to share and would make a wonderful addition to the right home.
