Luna is a large mixed breed girl weighing approximately 61 lbs. She is possibly a Redbone Coonhound/Lab/German Shepherd (coloring) mix. She is looking for her permanent home. We have been fostering her for 8 weeks. She came into San Antonio Pets Alive from City of San Antonio Animal Care Services. Luna is young (10 months to one year old). She is spayed, house trained, friendly with people and other dogs (keep food/treats separated). She is very active while outdoors and needs daily exercise. In the house she will be your companion and wants to be near you. Luna knows basic commands such as sit, down and we are working on heeling on the leash and stay. She is extremely smart and confident, she will make a wonderful family or companion dog. On a side note, I took her to be evaluated for search and rescue. While she is very play focused while in our yard, when she was in a large, unknown area, she wanted to search and not play with her toy. Trainers did tests (noise and walking on unknown surfaces) and she passed. Noises do not bother her and she will walk on difficult surfaces with no problem.

Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty.
