Dexter was found dumped with a very pregnant female dog who soon had 8 babies. We aren't sure he's the daddy, but he loves the mama. He is a big boy that will need structure and someone that can handle training him because he hasn't learned any manners. He is a total sweetheart that was dealt a bad hand in life, but now has a chance to find a wonderful home where he can be the best dog that he can be. He was wonderful potential and needs to be given a chance. He hasn't shown any aggression towards people, and he's met many recently, but seems to be a little more timid around other dogs. Please don't pass up this wonderful pup because he needs some training to be "civilized" because he is a total love. Dexter will need a high fence that he cannot jump or climb; he’s a master escape artist, but with discipline and a watchful eye, he will be just fine. He will be neutered and fully vetted before adoption. He can be cat tested upon request.SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Here is the application link. https://shorturl.at/syCM3All of our dogs have age-appropriate vaccinations, if over 6 months old are spayed or neutered, if under 6 months adopter is responsible for having that done between 6 and 10 months of age (we can offer some low cost options for you), microchipped with lifetime free membership, dewormed and will go home with a 3 to 5 day dewormer as well. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability. Adults are hw tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process! If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required. We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. Adoption fees range from $150 to $400 We do not offer discounts of any kind. Adoption fees are set fees and not negotiable. These fees help with vetting on current and future animals we take in. We do not offer walk through "choose a dog/puppy" type experience. We are partially foster-based, we can help with matching dogs if you have something you have in mind so feel free to call or browse our available dogs at sger.petfinder.com You can meet before adoption but that is ONLY done with approved applicants. Rumble came in with his siblings who were our ` Paw Patrol` pups. All were adopted, but Rumble was recently surrendered by his owner. It appears that Rumble has not had the benefit of any training whatsoever. At 70 pounds, this makes life a challenge for him and those around him. Although Rumble is friendly and eager to please, he also has an abundance of energy. An alpha person who has time for the gentle training he needs would be the perfect fit for Rumble. We would not recommend he be adopted by a family with small children as he plays so rough and can be `mouthy` when he plays. We would, however, strongly recommend a meet and greet. Come and meet our very handsome Rumble 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. He is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.

He loves people; giving smoochies; leaning into you for more bonding with you. I sometimes jump to give you kisses when I meet you - I forget I'm not tiny, so sorry! I calm down fast if you pet me and talk to me. I am house trained, never been in a crate or tied up outside. I sleep on my doggie bed in my foster's bedroom. I barely come up to your knees - I look big in pictures, but its my heart wanting you thats big! I am not a constant barker, love zoomies; walking; taking a nap with you - total love package. Milo's fur sparkles in the sun. He is on the quiet side, trying to get attention is hard with 5 siblings! He can be a bit shy, but warms up fast. He is neutered & ready to be adopted - still waiting for his furever home.
