Burt is a truly special boy. This handsome Catahoula Leopard Dog mix has a rich brindle coat and unforgettable eyes that stop people in their tracks. His gaze shifts between soft blue and pale silver, and in the sunlight faint white flecks appear. A veterinarian described them as albino eyes—a rare and beautiful trait that does not affect his vision, but certainly adds to his unique charm.
Burt’s personality is just as remarkable as his looks. He is calm, affectionate, and wonderfully well-mannered, making him an easy companion in just about any home.

At his recent adoption event, Burt impressed everyone with his calm demeanor and eagerness to please. He listens well, responds to commands, and adapts easily to new environments.

Burt’s Story
Before coming into rescue, Burt experienced a heartbreaking loss. His elderly owner passed away unexpectedly, and Burt was left behind, chained outside the only home he had known. It is unclear how long he waited there, faithfully staying by the place he loved. When he was finally found, he was scared and confused—but still gentle, trusting, and kind.
Since entering rescue, Burt has shown remarkable resilience. Despite everything he endured, he remains affectionate and hopeful, ready to bond deeply with a family who will never leave him behind again.
