Scout is one of those special dogs who seems to fit right into whatever life has planned. Want to go for a walk? He's ready. A hike? Count him in. Toss a tennis ball around the yard? He'll happily play until you decide it's time to stop...and then he'll politely try to convince you to throw it just a few more times.
When the adventure is over, Scout is just as happy relaxing beside his favorite people. He's affectionate without being overly demanding and loves simply being close to his humans. Whether you're watching TV on the couch or working around the house, Scout is content just hanging out with you.
One of Scout's best qualities is how eager he is to please. He comes when called, kennels well, knows all the basic commands, and jumps in a car to take a ride (he's still working on chatting a little less during the drive!), and enjoys learning. He's great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is respectful around kids. He recently discovered that swimming is pretty awesome too!
Like any dog, Scout has a few opinions. The lawn mower, vacuum, and weed trimmer are definitely not on his list of favorite things. But snacks? Treats? Belly rubs? Fetch? Human companionship? Those are at the very top.
Scout is past the puppy chaos but still has all the fun, playful energy that makes every day more enjoyable. He's looking for a family that will include him in life's adventures, spoil him with the occasional treat, and love him as much as he'll love them.
