Story
*Note: Anna is in a foster home in Toronto. For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click here. BackgroundAnna was rescued from a high kill shelter in Miryang, Korea. After her rescue, she stayed at our partner boarding house where she lived peacefully with many other dogs while waiting for her chance at a better life. She is now living with another Korean rescue dog in a foster home in Toronto.Personality and SocializationAnna is a gentle, quiet, and sweet girl with a soft and submissive nature. She can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly, especially when another friendly dog is nearby to help her feel safe and comfortable. Once she trusts you, she becomes a loyal little shadow who loves staying close to her people. She absolutely adores other dogs and truly blossoms around them. Anna is very submissive, friendly, and playful with canine companions, and having another dog in the home would make her happiest. She gains confidence by following and learning from other dogs, and she loves being part of a calm little pack.BehaviourAnna has a very easygoing personality. She is quiet in the home, well mannered, and not destructive. She enjoys playing with toys, relaxing nearby, and spending time in the backyard with her dog friends. She loves walks, especially when she can explore alongside another dog, and she happily follows along with her foster siblings.Although she may feel a little nervous during car rides, vet visits, or bath time, Anna remains calm and cooperative and allows her humans to handle her gently. She is house trained and has adapted very nicely to home life.Health and DietAnna is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and kept on monthly flea and tick prevention. When she was first rescued, she was treated for anaplasmosis and hepatozoonosis from tickbites, and she has since made a full recovery. She is now healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever family.Ideal HomeAnna would do well in many types of loving homes, but her ideal family would have another friendly and confident dog for her to bond with and follow. A home with a fenced yard would also be wonderful for her since she enjoys outdoor playtime.More than anything, Anna is simply looking for a kind and patient family, a furry companion to lean on, and a safe place where she can continue to grow in confidence and feel loved.*Note: Anna is in a foster home in Toronto. For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click here.

Story
*Note: Currently Noa is in Korea, but will be arriving in Toronto once adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption applicaiton, pleae click here.Adopt Noa, the Big-Hearted Boy Who Can’t Resist Sneaking a LickNoa has one quirky love language, sneaking in a lick on your ear when he’s feeling extra affectionate, and honestly, it’s hard to be mad about it.Quick FactsBreed: Large mix · Sex: Male · Born: November 2023 · Location: Korea · Traits: Affectionate, sociable, calm · Health: Neutered, vaccinatedBackgroundNoa was rescued in February 2024 from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea, when he was just a few months old. After his rescue, he spent some time at a training facility because there was not enough space for him at our partner shelter. He later moved to the shelter, where he has grown into a handsome, easygoing boy while patiently waiting for his forever family.PersonalityNoa warms up to new faces fast, whether they’re men or women, and greets everyone with the same open affection including his signature ear-licking, which he’ll stop right away if told firmly. He loves playing with other dogs who like to run and wrestle, but he also knows how to settle: he’s calm and quiet in his kennel, doesn’t bark much, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. The one time you’ll reliably hear from him is when dinner’s due.CompatibilityNoa is comfortable and confident with both men and women. He has limited experience with young children, but overall, he is a friendly dog who enjoys being around people. If he is adopted by a family with children, parents should always supervise interactions to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. It is important that parents take full responsibility for teaching both their children and their dog how to interact appropriately. Helping children understand a dog’s boundaries and body language is especially important.Noa does well with other dogs, especially playful dogs who enjoy full-body wrestling and running games.Noa hasn’t lived with cats before, so we can’t say for certain how he would do with them. Given his easygoing nature, we think it may be possible with a slow, gradual introduction, plenty of patience, and enough space for each of them to have their own safe retreat while they get used to one another.Behaviours & TrainingNoa takes everyday life in stride. He is good in the car, calm at the vet, and easygoing at bath time. He loves going for walks, walks well on leash, and especially enjoys spending time outdoors. He is fully house-trained with a solid outdoor routine, enjoys his toys without destructive chewing, and has plenty of walking experience.HealthNoa is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He takes monthly parasite preventatives. He has no known allergies and no history of additional surgeries or treatments. He has passed the veterinary screening and is healthy and ready for a forever home.He eats kibble twice a day and has not shown any food allergies or sensitivities so far.Ideal HomeNoa would be best suited to a family with some experience with large-breed dogs, simply because he is a big boy. A quieter home where he can settle in at his own pace and feel safe and secure will help bring out his best side. A family who enjoys regular walks and outdoor time will have a happy, easygoing companion by their side.Another dog who enjoys playing and has a similar size and temperament would be a wonderful bonus for Noa.After everything he has been through, Noa is ready for a family who will give him the love, patience, and security he deserves and love him for exactly who he is.*Note: Currently Noa is in Korea, but will be arriving in Toronto once adopted.
