Archie is a 32lb, 6-month-old, spunky guy that had a rough start to life. He came into rescue at 4 months old and at first we thought his one leg was broken because it was deformed. It actually may have been previously broken, but was not at that time. After lots of medical opinions, we've determined that Archie should be able to heal himself and will live a mostly normal life! However, because of this hiccup in his formative months, it's possible he will have some minor ongoing gait issues and may experience joint issues and/or arthritis earlier in life than most dogs his size. So while he may be perfectly normal and healthy, his future forever family should be prepared to help him with this in advance. But this doesn't stop Archie! He has such a zest for life and won't let anything slow him down. Plus he's smart to boot! Every trick his foster mom tries to teach him, he catches on quickly. He's even potty trained and will go stand by the door to let you know he needs to go outside. Archie is also a lover. After his play sessions or a good walk, he likes to burrow under a blanket and snuggle with you. Overall, he really just wants to be by your side and doing things with you at all times. He also does well in car rides, especially if they result in pup-puccinos! In addition to being potty trained, he is also crate trained! If you are looking to add a furbaby to your home and willing to put in some time to continue basic training, Archie could be the perfect pup for you!
