Heartland is currently in a foster home! If you are interested in meeting him, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment so we can coordinate with his foster family (:Heartland is a wiggly bundle of joy who’s still polishing up his manners—but don’t worry, he’s already come a long way and is eager to keep learning! This happy guy might take a little time to warm up but once you’re in his circle, you’re in. And trust us—he loves his people big! Heartland appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows his basic cues. He’s incredibly smart, easy to redirect, and genuinely enjoys learning—he just needs a home that can give him structure and positive outlets for all that energy and enthusiasm. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him, and while he may come across as anxious here, it’s likely because his brain and body are craving more stimulation and movement. His absolute favorite thing? Getting out and about with his people. Walks, adventures, fresh air—he thrives when he’s on the move! Heartland has been social with other dogs, though he can be a little barky in the shelter environment. We suspect that will settle once he’s in a home. He may be a bit too excitable for small animals, but he’s enjoyed canine companionship—and meet-and-greets are always an option! And let’s talk about his personality—because it’s the best part. Heartland beams with happiness. His little excited hops are guaranteed to make you smile, and once he feels comfortable, he’s not shy about asking for affection… or a full-on hug. Voka is the perfect mix of strong and soft—a confident girl with a secretly squishy heart. While she may give off a bit of a “no-nonsense” first impression, don’t let that fool you… underneath is a quiet, affectionate sweetheart who just wants to be close to her people. Originally an outdoor dog, Voka transitioned to indoor living like a pro and settled in quickly. She’s been a joy to work with, surprising everyone with her easygoing nature and gentle affection. She appears to be potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows her basic cues—she’s got the brains to match her beauty! Voka has a confident, more dominant personality, but she has not shown reactivity toward other dogs. That said, she will do best with thoughtful introductions and a home that understands her independent streak. She enjoys her canine friends from her previous home - we will be happy to provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! One of the best things about Voka? Her little bursts of joy. When she gets excited, she does the cutest happy hops, and in new or stimulating environments, she can get adorably chatty—it’s a playful, puppy-like side that feels extra special once you see it. Though she enjoys activity and enrichment, Voka is likely to settle into a mellow routine with regular exercise—think peaceful walks, fresh air, and curling up in a cozy bed at the end of the day. She can be shy or a bit standoffish when meeting new people, but give her a moment and meet her at her level… and you might just find her slowly crawling into your space for affection. My family has had Chloe all her life. I have moved out of the family home and she cannot stay where she is at any longer.She is a very sweet and loving dog. She likes to cuddle and will lean up against you. She is a bit skittish of strangers. Chloe turned 5 years old this past January. Because of her being itchy I feed her grain-free food, she also seems to have issues with chicken.
