Story
Meet Dozer, he is a 7 year old Pitbull/Rottweiler mix who loves new people. Dozer has been with our family since he was 8 weeks old and he’s a very smart and loving dog. I trained him to ring a bell for potty time outside and he likes to ask for treats by raising his paw and nodding his head yes if you ask if he wants it. Dozer enjoys walks outside on a leash but doesn’t like to be startled by loose dogs. He enjoys back scratches, lazy days at your feet, and playing keep away with a ball. He is a great dog and It breaks my heart to adopt him out but I had to move to a smaller space. He likes his bed and a blanket to stay warm or to hog your bed if you let him. He’s very dignified and debonair and will mother other puppies and play with your cats if they’re willing. He needs a strong owner to love him. His fee covers his bed, blanket, food, treats, and supplies he comes with (leash, harness, clothes, shot records, collar, toys, bath stuff, etc.) He loves baths and towel rubs after.

Story
My family has had Chloe all her life. I have moved out of the family home and she cannot stay where she is at any longer. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She likes to cuddle and will lean up against you. She is a bit skittish of strangers. Chloe turned 5 years old this past January. Because of her being itchy I feed her grain-free food, she also seems to have issues with chicken.

Story
Raidon might take a moment to settle in, but once he does, you’ll see just how special he is. This sweet boy has the kind of heart that melts right into yours—he loves leaning in close, soaking up affection, and gazing at you like you’re his whole world. Originally an outdoor dog, Raidon is still getting used to the comforts of indoor life, but he’s been doing an amazing job learning the ropes. He appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows some basic cues and is learning “wait” and “shake.” Smart and sweet? Yes! Raidon enjoys keeping himself entertained with toys that make him think—stuffed Kongs, chew bones, and soft toys are some of his favorites. While he’s not overly high-energy, he would love regular walks and time outside with his people. Being out in the fresh air is truly his happy place. He’s generally been easygoing here at the shelter, though he can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. Give him a little patience, and his soft, loving personality shines through. Raidon has done well around other dogs overall, but he may prefer to avoid other male dogs. Raidon does appear to have a dominant personality. Submissive, female dogs will likely be the best fit for him. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Because we don’t know his history with children or small animals—and given his more independent background—a home without small animals would likely be the best. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and a calm love for the outdoors, Raidon just might be your guy!

Story
Heartland is a wiggly bundle of joy who’s still polishing up his manners—but don’t worry, he’s already come a long way and is eager to keep learning! This happy guy might take a little time to warm up but once you’re in his circle, you’re in. And trust us—he loves his people big! Heartland appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows his basic cues. He’s incredibly smart, easy to redirect, and genuinely enjoys learning—he just needs a home that can give him structure and positive outlets for all that energy and enthusiasm. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him, and while he may come across as anxious here, it’s likely because his brain and body are craving more stimulation and movement. His absolute favorite thing? Getting out and about with his people. Walks, adventures, fresh air—he thrives when he’s on the move! Heartland has been social with other dogs, though he can be a little barky in the shelter environment. We suspect that will settle once he’s in a home. He may be a bit too excitable for small animals, but he’s enjoyed canine companionship—and meet-and-greets are always an option! And let’s talk about his personality—because it’s the best part. Heartland beams with happiness. His little excited hops are guaranteed to make you smile, and once he feels comfortable, he’s not shy about asking for affection… or a full-on hug. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate dog who will keep you moving, keep you laughing, and love you with his whole heart—Heartland is ready to be your new best friend.
