Meet Sausage, a lovable Rottie mix puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Sausage has had quite journey since arriving at the shelter. He is recovering from a serious leg fracture that required a couple of surgeries and plenty of TLC. His leg has healed well, and he’s walking, jumping, and playing happily, but he’ll need a home that provides gentle, supervised exercise as he continues to regain strength.This energetic boy is full of curiosity and affection. He loves cuddles, interactive play, and chewing on toys (and sometimes socks or shoes but we`re working on it!), and he can be a bit nippy when excited. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home with older children who understand puppy behavior and in a family committed to positive reinforcement training to help him learn how to be a well-mannered and confident pupstanding citizen.Sausage thrives on attention and enrichment and may enjoy the company of a calm, friendly dog once he’s settled. He’s smart, playful, and affectionate, and his foster family says he’s happiest when he has a combination of cuddles, mental stimulation, and room to burn off puppy energy. He`s now at the shelter and looking for his forever home. With patience, structure, and lots of love, Sausage will grow into a loyal, fun, and wonderful companion for the right family. Perhaps his forever home could be yours!
