Auto was found at the shelter on the morning of 11/28/2024. He was left in a kennel and our team was unable to identify or contact any owners. That morning, he was very weary of us, but with careful patience, and alot of treats, Auto warmed up to us by the end of the day. He is a total lover once he is familiar and comfortable with new people. He is very big and is best as an only dog with no cats in the home. He has been around kids, but needs his boundaries respected. Kids who hang on him, crawl on him or get in his face would not be a good fit. Auto loves walks and is very treat motivated. He knows commands like sit, down and shake. Just like many Rottwielers, Auto needs alot of stimulation and toys to keep busy. Attention is needed to avoid destructive behavior. He is eager to learn and would love to go on lots of adventures, especially swimming or playing in any kind of water. He needs a home that can cater to his needs and understands his breed. If you have experience with Rotties and understand how to love and train this big guy, please submit an application or send us an email to learn more. All meet and greets for foster or adoptions should be arranged via email ahead of time to give our staff time to prepare. Banjo entered our care on 02/25/2024. When his owner was arrested, he was brought to the shelter because he had nowhere else to go. Sadly, his owner never came back for him. Banjo took some time to adjust and had no skills when he first arrived. He has since learned how to sit and has mastered our daily routine. He gets long with some females but does not get along with male dogs or any cats. He can be prey driven and needs an owner who understands this and can nagivate it appropriately. He loves kids and is very bouncy when it's time for a walk. Banjo is ready for anything and needs lots of adventures to burn out his energy. As with any dog, he may need training and time to adjust but he has shown that he is willing to learn. With the right owner, he would be an amazing companion. Banjo should probably be the only dog in the home and needs structure. If you are ready for a buddy that you can commit your time to, submit an application or email us to learn more.
