Story
Otto is a loving, attention-seeking, and submissive goof ball. He is housebroken, neutered, micro chipped, walks well with a leash, and up-to-date with his rabies and current registration. He is approximately 2.5 years old and 98lbs. I obtained Otto 12/2024 from the Maricopa County Dog shelter in Phoenix and he has been in my care since then for the last 15 months. I am recently divorced with joined custody of my two daughters, ages 9 and 14. My 9 year-old daughter is special needs and on the spectrum with being Autistic. I work full time and manage my household the best I can, which includes going to weekly therapy, volley ball practice, and many other extracurricular activities to ensure by kids have as normal a life as possible post divorce. To say I am overwhelmed is appropriate. With my family-related commitments, I am unable to give Otto the time and attention he needs to ensure he continues to thrive now that he is full grown, which is necessary and easential with this breed.

Story
Carl is a handsome 5–7 year old Rottweiler with the heart of a true gentle giant. He came to the sanctuary after one of our previous adopters spotted him wandering the busy streets near the sanctuary. Watching this big, kind soul roam such a dangerous area, we knew we had to step in before he was hurt. Once in our care, Carl quickly showed us exactly who he is, calm, sweet, and incredibly gentle. We made every effort to locate his family, but sadly no one came forward. Since then, Carl has been enrolled in training to learn basic obedience, and he is absolutely excelling. He’s eager to please, loves learning, and truly just wants to be a good boy. Carl is the kind of dog who makes everyone feel at ease. He’s steady, affectionate, and has so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Carl just might be your perfect match. If you think Carl could be the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once your application is received, we’ll be happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet with Carl.

Story
Meet Niko Niko is a drop-dead gorgeous, block-headed male Rottweiler who will be 3 years old this July. He is AKC registered, large and handsome, and has the kind of presence that turns heads everywhere he goes. This sweet boy absolutely adores people and is good with most dogs. He is currently enrolled in a professional board-and-train program in New River, where he is excelling. Niko knows all of his commands, is fully potty trained and crate trained, and is becoming an exceptionally well-mannered companion. We would love to find Niko's forever family before he graduates, so his new family can benefit from taking him home freshly trained. His trainer will work directly with you to teach you how to continue his training, ensuring a smooth transition and long-term success. Niko also comes with a lifetime of FREE training lessons — as many sessions as you'd like — to help you build the strongest, happiest bond possible. Our goal is to help create the best relationship you have ever had with a dog. Niko does have one quirky habit — he likes to eat rocks, so his ideal home would have a yard without gravel or loose rocks. A grassy yard would be perfect, giving him a safe space to play and relax. Other than that, Niko is truly the total package — loving, loyal, stunningly handsome, professionally trained, and ready to be someone's best friend. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.
