Wherever you go, expect Hera to be right there supervising, wagging, and politely requesting more affection. She’s playful, happy, and has a deep appreciation for snacks and meals (honestly, relatable). Hera is the kind of girl who fills a room with her presence and her personality—sweet, loyal, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. If you’re looking for a devoted shadow with a joyful spirit and a healthy appetite, Hera is your girl. All dogs adopted from the Aurora Dog Pound comes with a rabies vaccination, wormed, and a microchip. She will also have a spay certificate to be used locally that covers the cost 100%

Hey there, I’m Susie! I’m a 4-year-old Bully mix with that classic look — chonky, short, and strong! Right now, I’m hanging out in a foster home where I’ve been learning all sorts of good manners. I even graduated from a 7-week basic obedience class (I’m pretty proud of that!) and my awesome foster keeps helping me learn new things every day so I can be the best doggo I can be. I’ve got a big personality — loving, loyal, and just the right amount of sassy. I’m not a fan of cats, and I can be a bit particular about other dogs, so I’d probably do best as your one and only pet. But trust me, I’ve got enough love to fill your whole home! If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky girl who’s ready to make you smile every day, I think we’d be a perfect match! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2204969##
