Hello Folks: My name is Diego and I’m a male German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix anxious to play. I am a sweet, happy, innocent boy ( just take a gander at my photo. I’m gorgeous.) As you can see, I’m brown and black and weigh 64 lbs. The hoomans tell me I’m 1 year, 6 months old. I’ve been neutered and have all my shots and I’m great with other dogs. Yeah, one thing you need to know is that the hoomans say I was naughty and chased cattle. Now, I claim it was a bum rap and that I’m innocent and stuff.( I mean, just look at my picture). I’ve agreed that it would be best if I’m not around cattle and livestock and other farm animals. Sooo, I need a forever home without those things. I really am sweet. That is why the hoomans sent me here to be adopted. I just need someone who wants to play with me outside a lot and who is ready to give and receive love. So fill out an application, come visit me and take me to my forever livestockless home. I am sweet, full of love and ready to be your happy friend. (Seriously, just check out my picture.) Love, Diego

Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
Hi folks! Beetlejuice here! No, don’t worry about saying my name three times; that’s another guy. I am a brown and white male Boxer/mixed breed dog who was left here at Golden Paws. I’m not sure how old I am, because my prior hooman left me out in the yard without telling anyone. I do love people very much and even though at 60 to 100 lbs when I’m full grown I’m a big boy, I imagine myself as a lap dog. But, if you don’t have an industrial strength lap, I’m just as happy laying beside your chair and getting pets and giving kisses. Although I love everyone once I get to know them, I’m very comfortable with women right from the start. I guess that’s because I’ve been around more women than men. So, what do you say? Fill out an application and come see me. Spend a little time with me so we can be Pals for the rest of our lives. I’m the dog you’ve always wanted. When you come here, just say my name three times (Got Ya). LOVE BEETLEJUICE
