Hi, I'm Piper! I agree with Gatlin and Khoya... strangers are scary and cannot be trusted!! I will take some time to warm up to my new family but once I get to know you I will love you furever! I'm very cuddly and LOVE pets and snuggles. The best way to get to my heart is through my stomach. I am a foodie and willing to taste test any new recipe - free of charge!! I also love crunching empty waterbottles, going for walks and playing fetch.  I am a smarty pants who is extremely obedient. I am especially proud of my downstay as well as my leash and muzzle skills.  DOB: 2021 Breed: CKC registered purebred Rotweiller,  Approx 80lbs

Story
Meet Cooper: A Big-Hearted Bulldog Mix with Energy to SpareCooper is a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix who’s equal parts muscle, mischief, and marshmallow. Athletic and high-drive, he thrives with routine, structure, and clear expectations. While he loves his cozy time with his favorite blankie, once he’s up, it’s go time—long walks, durable toys, and mental challenges keep this strong, smart boy at his best. He already knows basic commands like sit and down, and he’s generally good on leash, though a confident handler is key to keeping his excitement in check.Cooper has a very high prey drive, so he needs a home with no cats or small animals. With a proper introduction, he may do well with either a male or female canine companion that is closer to his size. A slow and proper introduction is reccomended, and a Meet & Greet onsite is required if you do have another dog. Due to his strength and tendency to get overstimulated, he’s also best suited for an adult-only home with bulldog-savvy adopters. In the right hands, Cooper will be a loyal, loving companion who’s as happy tackling a training challenge as he is curling up in his blanket. If you’ve got the experience, patience, and a stash of heavy-duty toys, Cooper might just be the bulldog mix you’ve been waiting for.

Story
File #24-158Current Foster Location: Gananoque, ON *Please note that we do not typically adopt outside of a 2 hour radius from the foster dogs current location* Hi there! Im Adira! Not to brag, but my name means strong and nobleand Ive totally earned it. Im not your average pup. Im dorky. Im smart. Im guaranteed to make you laugh at least three times a dayfour if you wear socks I can chase. The Essentials: Fully housetrained and crate trained. I love kids, though I do get a bit bouncy with excitementso supervision and guidance help me be my best self. Friendly with dogsI get excited and bark if another dog barks, but Im working hard on staying calm before greetings. I would thrive with a doggy sibling who can kindly tell me when Im being a lot, OR as the only dog with experienced large-breed humans who know how to hold the line with love. I'm curious about the catIll chase sometimes, but its more playful than predatory. Smart, loyal, playful, occasionally sassy (especially if you try to take away a toe or interrupt my social calendar). I love training (Ill do basically anything for food), and I need a family committed to helping me practice calm behaviour with positive reinforcement. I enjoy mental challenges and learning new things (like conquering my fear of watergo me!). Important PSA: I like to taste-test things that arent technically edible (RIP Nerf bullets and LEGO). Im not destructive with furniture, but I will need supervision indoors and out. My Signature Look: One of my eyes is a little underdevelopedit makes me extra special. The rescue will recheck it during my spay, along with a small umbilical hernia thatll be fixed up too. I have patented the Adira Dance (for food), and I usually sleep upside down with my legs in the air like I just dont care. Im a one-of-a-kind little weirdo with a heart of gold and toes to chase. If youve got patience, snacks, and room for a loveable goofballIm ready to be your ride-or-die. Story
Meet Chewie – A True Adventure Mama! 🚁✈️ From Manitoba to Ontario, this brave girl has had quite the journey! Chewie arrived in Ontario after an incredible trip—by helicopter and airplane—and she’s handled it all with a gentle, curious heart. This sweet mama is still settling in and slowly showing us more of her personality each day. She warms up to people with time and kindness, and once she trusts you, you’ll see just how special she is. As a former mama, Chewie has a nurturing nature, and we're starting to see her playful, loyal side shine through. She’s still learning what it means to just be a dog—to play, relax, and trust—but she’s making beautiful progress. ✅ Calm ✅ Gentle soul ✅ Curious and resilient ✅ Working on confidence ✅ Ready to love and be loved We’re still getting to know Chewie, but one thing’s clear—she deserves a forever home full of patience, love, and soft places to land. The adoption fee includes Vaccinations: This includes: Rabies Leptospirosis Distemper Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus Parvovirus Parainfluenza Lyme Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma Deworming Spay/Neuter Microchipping If the dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. All known medical information is explained to adopters prior to adoption. All our dogs come with a leash, collar, toy and a small bag of kibble. We put a lot of work, time, care and love into each one of these dogs. They are treated like one of our own. We are open and transparent about the dogs in our care.

These pups are in Kingston, Ontario too!

Story
Name, age, breed: Rosie, 6yrs, Boxer mixLikes: Walks, treat sniff mats, playing tug of war, giving kisses, cuddling, pets and scratches, people in general, loves to lounge around Dislikes: Lack of walks/activityWhat would be the ideal home? A home with a strong handler who can deal with her reactivity on walks. But otherwise really anyone would do well since she is very sweet-natured.Good with other cats? NoGood with dogs? Possibly - Rosie mimics how other dogs treat her. If they approach sweet and friendly, she will also react that way. Highly reactive to dogs on walks (really wants to play, she is very enthusiastic). Good with children? Yes, as long as they are ok with large dogsTemperament: very sweet, playful, active, excited while on walks but relaxed in the homeMotivators? Treats, neck/head scratches, verbal praiseAny commands? Sit, shake (she can do both paws), lie downHouse trained? YesCrate trained? YesHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.Any special needs or traits an adopter should know?
