Story
*BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** Name: Hans Breed: Rottweiler Weight: approx. 100lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Neutered Age: 5 years old Medical (shots etc): UTD Good with dogs: No Good with cats: No Good with kids: No Good with strangers: No Guarding Issues: yes, has resource guarding with toys, bones, food and beds. Can be managed no problem. House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Destructive: No Leash skills: Great! Okay with manipulations: Yes Known commands: Sit, stay, no, drop it, down, paw Behaviour Issues: Hans is a great dog once he knows and trust you. He has stranger danger. Therefore, he needs to meet someone several times before he is not reactive to them. Other Observations: Once Hans trust you, he's a big goofy guy. Who loves to play, chase and snow is his favorite thing to role in and eat. Hans cannot go to a hectic household or with many people in the home. He would be best suited for an older couple who's very experienced with the breed and his behavior issues. Not for a novice owner. Hans will bond with his people and will be protective. He is great on a leash, loves being outside. He doesn't really bother with dogs outside his kennel, but is reactive to dogs in his kennel. His resource guarding is quite bad and he cannot have toys, bones or beds and blankets. We do give him raw bones at dinner time in his crate so by morning it's all gone and his aggression isn't there. Food aggression is bad as well. He gets fed in his crate, will sit and give paw before we feed him. Once the bowl is down, if anyone is near him, he will growl. Best to leave him eat in his crate. Being Rottweiler means he is strong, and smart. I talk to him often and he enjoys conversations while on walks on getting some cuddle time. Hans will be an amazing dog with the right people. He has tons if love to give and loves his people. For a dog who is 3, he still has tons of play energy to interact with his people. If you're looking for a dog who will be loyal and protective, but also have a soft side, Hans is your man!

Story
Hank has been with us for a while. Poor boy has been here since Oct 2021. He loves to play. He loves attention. He loves treats (who doesn't?). Hank is a really sweet boy. He is getting really stressed living the kennel life, though. This boy needs a home, with a yard and a family to call his own. He has not had many inquiries, he does not seem to be a fan-favorite for reasons we don’t understand, and the kennel life is not meant for him - or really any dog for that matter. Hank is a young loving boy who would be able to grow more in a forever home, or even a foster, to keep him free of stress, to allow him to unleash his crazy, puppy-like self. For a young guy, he has great recall and has been open to welcoming female dogs to play with him. MUST be dog experience, not for a first-time dog owner Name: Hank Breed: boxer mix Weight: 60lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 4.5 years old Medical(shots): Up to date Good with dogs: VERY selective, must be ONLY pet Good with cats: No Good with strangers: yes with proper introductions Guarding issues: yes with food with other dogs but good with people House trained: yes Crate trained : yes Destructive: not at all Leash skills: Good! Due to his trachea he must be walked on a harness only! Okay with manipulations: yes Known commands: sit, lay, paw working on stay and leave it Behaviour issues: guards his food from other dogs but will let me take it Medical issues: damaged trachea Other observations: Hank is very people happy and loves to meet dog friends with the proper introductions. Loves to run so needs space and proper excerise. Good off leash once bonded and can have with excellent recall when properly trained. Loves car rides. He is snuggly, loves to be in your lap. Loves his toys and will carry them on walks or when he goes outside. Not for a first time dog owner. Will need someone with patience and time to continue working with him. He has been in a kennel for almost 3 years. So please understand he will need someone willing to help him decompress from the kennel environment. Once he's comfortable with you and knows you, he's really a sweet boy with a big heart. Hence why we call him our goofball! Hank is all about cuddling and playtime!
