Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with dogs I know (especially female dogs around my size), I can be reactive on a leash toward dogs I don't know. However, I really do like female dogs - I currently love to hang out and go on walks with my girlfriend Darla, a Doberman. And I love human attention and affection - I am affectionate and caring. I'd do well with a strong owner, too. Please email for an application. I'm currently still in Southern California, but can be transported to Idaho. Please email for an application and additional photos.

Story
HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-year-old male Rottweiler in need of a foster or forever home. I've been waiting quite awhile for the right person or people to come along. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed, though I get around fine. I currently take inexpensive glucosamine dog treats, which help greatly. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. I have done fine with some dogs, but will thrive as the only dog in the home. I'm currently in California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M GEORGE. Why doesn't anyone want me? I'm a sweet 9-year-old Rottweiler-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter a couple of years ago, where I shared a kennel with another dog. I am a mellow, older boy who needs a soft bed and a loving owner. I was abandoned by my previous owners and have done nothing to deserve that, but am ready for a new start in life. I will make a wonderful companion for someone who can be my companion. I have some arthritis but I am on glucosamine treats and they work wonders! I weigh about 74 pounds. If you can foster or adopt me, please email for an application.

Story
Luther is a great dog who is a very sweet boy who can be pretty lazy and loves to cuddle with his family. He wants to please his person. Luther loves to cuddle up in bed and get belly rubs. He also enjoys playing catch and having lots of chew toys. But his favorite thing is playing tug of war. When he feels more energetic he loves to play ball. If you aren’t paying attention he will nudge you with his toy to play with him. Being treat motivated it won’t be hard to teach him new skills or just have some training fun with him. Luther is very quiet except for when he sees someone or something he wants to meet or play with. Or if he is in his crate and sees a new person or dog he barks acting mean. True to his breed he responds if he perceives a threat. We have noticed that Luther isn't ok when meeting new people when they have a hat on. So hats must be off when meeting someone new. Once he gets to know them he is completely fine with them being in a hat. Luther also doesn’t like to have new dogs sniff his private area and prefers a dog who will just get straight to playing with him or mind their own business. Luther has had training and minds well. We love this boy to pieces. And always excited to get his Rottweiler slobbering kisses. He has previously been around children over age 3 and did well with them. He really loves kids. Since he has been with us he has been around all ages even younger than 3 and did well. Just know that it’s possible for him to accidentally knock one over due to his goofiness and strength. Luther lived with his human mom and dad in a 5th wheel with another large dog, a small dog, and a cat and got along with all of them well. Luther is a very strong dog and pulls on the leash but knows the sit, down, and stay. He is crate trained and house trained. He is good being left alone and has at times been left for up to 12 hours per day. The story we are told regarding Luther being taken to the shelter is that the step-daughter come over one night and started arguing with the step-dad. Luther barked at her and when she was waiving her arms around he ended up grazing his tooth on her forearm; it broke skin, but shows what great bite inhibition he has as he could have torn her up if he really wanted to. After his quarantine, the owners weren’t able to get him back due to state laws where they live. Luther is a Rottweiler male. He is a 5 year-old as of June, 2026.
