Ruby Belladaisy is a 3 year old female. She is a Rottweiler mix. She can live with kids and other dogs. She cannot live with cats. She is not possessive over food but she eats it very quickly like she won`t get another meal. ** Ruby Belladaisy is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered, 4DX tested (if over 6 months of age), flea treated, and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org. Scroll down and under number 2 you will see dog adoption application. Do not click on “browse our pets.” Applications are also available at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder - only when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Meet Roxy!If you love Rottweilers, you will adore Roxy. She does have a full sized tail! She is about 6 years old and so much fun! She does great with dogs, great with cats (she was a tad scared of the cats but we promised we wouldn’t tell everyone that ??). She will do great with kids! She is strong on the leash!** Roxy is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training. She will be fully vetted before leaving the rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
