HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 10-year-old Rottie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have MANY positive traits - I am affectionate (I love to give hugs once I know you!), I walk well on a leash, and I am a very loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with some dogs (especially females), I can be reactive on a leash. I would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog, as I love human attention and affection and I'd do well with a strong owner, too. I weigh about 80 lbs. Hello, this is MAX, 4 years old and 84 pounds. MAX and his son TYSON were owner surrendered because the owner was divorcing and could no longer care for them. Both are a little underweight but they are gaining it back quickly as they have healthy appetites! MAX is very friendly and has no aggression in any area. He is curious about other dogs and does well interacting with them. He has been in the home with a man and his wife and gets along with everyone. It has been a pleasure watching him play with toys and get acquainted with being in the house. This is a guy who would love to have a home of his own and he would be a loving and loyal companion. This handsome hunk is Cooper and he would be a great addition to your family as he is a super lover who gets along with everyone. He is a funny boy though. He gets along fine with cats as long as they are in the house but once outside and a stranger to him, he will try to chase them. COOPER is 4 years old and weighs about 100 pounds. He is losing his home because sadly his owner was diagnosed with cancer and not able to care for COOPER any longer. He is just a tad bit overweight as he loves to help you eat! He is not a chewer but he loves his chew toys and treats. He is good with baths and everything else except touching his feet, not a big fan of that and will have to go to the vet to get his nails clipped. COOPER walks well on a leash without pulling and rides in the car without getting sick. He is familiar with being gentle around wheelchairs, medical beds and walking assistance devices, he seems to know he has to be careful. TYSON is an 8 month old, 58 pound pure breed Rottweiler. He was owner surrendered along with his father MAX II who is also available for adoption. TYSON comes with a clean slate and he is eager to learn new commands as he knows none right now but he does follow directions and is very well-mannered. He is treat motivated and very easy to train. TYSON has been in a home with both males and females and kids. He has a healthy appetite and quickly gaining the weight that he needs. He does do well on the leash without pulling and would enjoy walks. He rides in the car well without getting sick. He would be a loyal and loving companion and a great playmate to another dog. You would be winning a prize to get this super duper sweet little girl. Well she is not so little, kind of like 65 pounds and she will get about 10 bigger as she develops. Meet BUBBLES who will cuddle and give kisses, she is loyal and loving, kind and gentle. As part of her makeup you would be getting a non-reactive, friendly and social girl. This sweetheart was abandoned at a park in San Antonio, TX. So loyal that she was just sitting in the sand pit waiting for her humans to come back and get her. After 3 days she decided she would follow her foster mom home with their dog. Did I tell you she is affectionate and a love bug who gets along with other dogs and cats and she thinks she is a lap dog so be prepared to get all the love your have been looking for from BUBBLES, she gives the best hugs. On the 2nd day at her foster home she allowed the 13 year old to bath and trim her nails without any fuss. Of course she runs and play like Tinkerbell with the foster's pit mix who can be kind of bossy at times but BUBBLES has no reaction towards it she just goes to play with her toys until our dog is ready to play again. She is very comfortable sitting quietly playing with her toys and so not in the way of anything. BUBBLES totally respects the boundaries of the cat and she is friendly with her. BUBBLE is estimated to be approximately 1 1/2 years old and completely healthy. She will guard your property in a curious kind of way and occasionally bark at perceived threats but isn't a big runner or barker. BUBBLES has been in foster care for 6 weeks and her foster family simply love her but know she deserves to have a home of her own. It would be great if she had a pet playmate but she would be just as happy as an only dog. She would be your constant and best companion. BUBBLES can be trusted unsupervised in the yard and has not tried to dig or escape. CHARLIE is the full package, so complete. No only is he handsome but he is sweet, loving, gentle and very well behaved. He loves all dogs with his tail wagging like crazy to play. But CHARLIE is also a lover, he kisses all of the girls and gets very cozy. No worries, he is neutered and the girls are spayed. CHARLIE is 2 years old and 83 pounds but according to the vet he is slightly underweight. CHARLIE was taken to an apartment complex and pushed out of a car. Some good Samaritan's instantly took him and called me. Since he has been in my care, he has demonstrated the loveliness of this wonderful breed. He is a true Rottweiler and yes he thinks he is a lap dog. He wants to play and hang around you. He loves his toys and cozying up in his blankets.
