Story
Meet Roger!Roger is a 2-year-old male Rottweiler mix with a big heart and a goofy personality. He’s very people-oriented and loves making new friends! Roger does well on a leash and enjoys playful interactions—he’s even met another large male dog and had fun, though we recommend a sleepover prior to adoption to ensure he’s the perfect fit for your furry family members.Roger is a bit picky about his toys and hasn’t been a fan of squeakers, but his charm more than makes up for it. This lovable goof is ready to find a home that can match his energy, affection, and playful spirit! This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS offers a `Play Date` program?Whether you are interested in adopting or just want to hang out with a furry friend, it`s a fun way to spend an hour, an afternoon or even a couple days. Story
We got Charlie when he was about 8 weeks old on Thanksgiving 2024. He just turned 2. He is very engaged with family and loves to play. Unfortunately we are not in a position to keep him with a smaller backyard and our first baby on the way. He loves to run and go on hikes. He knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and stay. He is treat motivated and deserves to be in an active playful home. He has been around older kids and does well with them. He is a big puppy who thinks he is a lapdog. We would love to find him a home that has structure, activity, and love.

Bonnie

Rottweiler

Story
Bonnie, along with Clyde, was abandoned in a remote area, just off the freeway. They are both approximately 5 years old but are still very playful. Bonnie and Clyde are currently in a boarding and training program, where they are doing incredibly well. They are both goofy, lovable dogs that will make great family members. Both would like to eat their meals in one big gulp, but they are being trained to wait until they are given the command to eat, and we have them eating from slow feeder bowls, which is helping. These two get along great and could be adopted together, but would do fine if they went to separate homes. As for other dogs, they have been indifferent so far when seeing other dogs at the training facility they are currently in. Additional exposure and assessments will be done so we have a better idea of whether or not they'd do well in a home with other dogs besides each other. Bonnie is more timid than Clyde and takes a little longer to warm up when first meeting people. Once she gets to know you, though, she wants to be your best friend and loves attention. Since being in board and train, her confidence has improved, and we have no doubt it will continue to do so.
We'll also keep you updated on Clyde's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Remi is a two and half year old rottweiler/lab mix who is full of personality and love. She's rambunctious, playful, goofy, and at the same time a cuddle bug. She adores being close to peple and other animals. She thrives on attention, playtime, and structure. She was a stray when we first found her. I am unsure of the home she came from before, but she was malnourished and the vet believes she was abused there. We love Remi more than anything, but with our current work schedules we just don't have the time, exercise, and consistency she deserves. She needs a place that she can get regular walks or run time, and plenty of affection.
