Story
Meet Bear, a three-year-old Rottie mix weighing 72 pounds.Bear is a happy, enthusiastic boy who brings big joy everywhere he goes! Friendly, outgoing, and always ready for fun, Bear loves being part of the action — whether that’s playtime in the yard, making new friends, or showing off his skills for a tasty reward. This handsome guy is treat-motivated and eager to please. He already knows “sit,” “down,” and “shake,” and will proudly show them off when snacks are involved. With his love for treats and positive reinforcement, he’s a great candidate for learning even more!Bear has many traits commonly seen in Rottweiler dogs. Rottweilers are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and confidence. They were originally bred as working dogs, which means they thrive when given structure, engagement, and time with their people. Despite their strong appearance, Rotties are often affectionate, goofy, and deeply devoted to their families — and Bear fits that description beautifully. He would do best with an active family who will continue his training, provide consistent guidance, and include him as part of the household. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend, a playful companion, and a whole lot of love.If you’re looking for a smart, spirited boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Bear is ready to be your new best friend. This pet is available for adoption on 2/28/2026 at 9:10 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Percy is a 2 year old pure bred Rottweiler, his birthday was in december. he is very sweet and very energetic. He would do best somewhere with a yard where he can run around and play. He loves people and he loves playing fetch, he is not fixed yet and i do not have his papers. I have had him for a year and a half. He can get very hyper, so he would do best in an environment where he gets plenty of exercise. I am moving and getting a new job and i unfortunately will not have the space or the time to give him what he needs. He has never been around kids or cats, and its been a while since he lived with other dogs. he is still working on not jumping up on people but getting better about it.

Story
Meet Guinness – our sensitive, soulful 7-month-old Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as his paws. Guinness is still just a puppy, but the busy shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for him. The loud noises, unfamiliar smells, and constant activity can feel scary to a young dog who’s still learning about the world. Because of this, he may seem shy at first — but give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see the sweet, gentle boy he truly is. What helps Guinness shine? Confident dog friends and kind, steady people. He takes wonderful comfort in the presence of another calm, self-assured dog who can show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. With a canine buddy by his side, his tail comes up, his curiosity kicks in, and his playful puppy spirit starts to sparkle. He looks to his people the same way — gentle reassurance, soft voices, and patient encouragement go a long way in helping him feel safe. At just 7 months old, Guinness is at the perfect age to continue building confidence and learning new things. With positive reinforcement, consistency, and love, he has all the potential to grow into a loyal, devoted companion.

Story
I've had him since he was 6 months old. So I hate to see him go. Hes an old man little grumbly when forced to move but hes a sweet boy. Thinks hes a lap dog loves to cuddle not to fond of other dogs but not aggressive. Doesn't care about cats as long as they dont hiss or scratch at him. Loves kids and people.
