If you adopt a young kitten that is not old enough for surgery, we will schedule a surgery appointment after the adoption. Most of our cats and kittens are mixed breeds unless specified otherwise. How our Adoption Process Works: We take loving care to help match the right kitty with the right family.  1. Ideally identify a couple of kitty candidates on our website, use the advanced search capability to find what you need.  You can also tell our team what you are looking for and they will help with suggestions.  If you are seeing our kitties on an adoption website you may want to pop on over to www.catrangers.org where we often have even more pictures. 2. Fill out an application online at catrangers.org. Once we have an application our adoption team can work with you to arrange appointments for either virtual or in person meetings with candidate kitties.  Kittens are kept in foster homes to make sure they are being properly socialized.  Visits may be virtual, at foster's home or at the CatRangers Center in Buford. 3. Our adoption team conducts a brief phone call with you and later, a virtual home visit, to make sure you are fully prepared for your new kitty. Our team also checks with your vet and personal references.   (We really want to you and our kitty to have the very best chance for a lifetime of loving success.) 4. Once application is approved and adoption fee is paid, we reserve the kitty you have selected. The adoption fee includes all vaccines up to the time of adoption. Kitties have been Felv/FIV tested, treated for fleas and parasites, and have been microchipped. Your adoption fee includes a spay/neuter if your selected kitty has not already been altered. Some kitties are very popular and you need to move quickly to select those you are interested in and get through the process for your first choice as a furever friend. However, please do be patient with our volunteer team. And while you are on our website, if you are interested in volunteering or fostering, please fill out applications! Meet Gracin, the lively little gray 4 month old adventurer you've been waiting for! This mischievous and energetic little guy is full of spirit and ready for action. Whether he's wrestling with his foster siblings or showing off his impressive climbing skills on the kitty jungle gym, Gracin is a “best of both worlds,” happy-go-lucky kitty. He's independent and loves his freedom, but don't let that fool you—he's also incredibly friendly and will quickly steal your heart with cuddles. He will be sure to entertain you with his famous “Gracin zoomies” and would do well with other pets as animal companions. Gracin is fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, defleaed. His combo test was negative. Hollywood got his name because he loves to ham it up on our front porch security camera! Practicing for the paparazzi, Hollywood knows how to work the eyes and create a stir. He started occasionally stopping by and would look in our windows to see what was happening in the house. Over time he's become a resident of our front porch. He is a shy, but a sweet little soul. Hes always super appreciative for food and treats. Other cats that stop by will sometimes give him guff, we've never see him be anything but a gentle soul and just steer clear of conflict. We have no brought Hollywood to the vet, so we are unaware of his medical background. We are taking care of 7 community cats living on our porch or decks, the emergency vet care and food expenses are cumbersome and we've been bringing them in for care on an as needed basis. Hollywood seems very healthy. We're looking for a human angel willing to take Hollywood in, help get him proper vet care, love him and give him a wonderful home.

Ruthie is our sweet, cuddly 8 year old Russian blue. She is bold and bossy and loves pets and we adore her. She loves string toys and scratchers with lots and lots of catnip. She really loves high perches like a cat tower but will also cuddle in your lap for hours. Unfortunately, we recently welcomed our second child and his arrival has put Ruthie in distress. I’m unsure if she needs a home without children, as she didn’t have this response to our first child. We hope to find a family that loves her as much as we do.
