Story
If I could, I would keep our sweet Luna. Being a Russian Blue (no proof of pure breededness), she‘s an independent cat who shows her love by following her owner around and sitting nearby. She keeps vocalization to a minimum, only communicating when necessary, which we have enjoyed. We have a big household with kids and we have found that she prefers a quiet household without other pets or a lot of noise. She needs an experienced adopter because she has the habit of peeing outside of the litter box, typically in the bathtub. It might be the litter we use, but unfortunately we do not have the time or energy to figure it out. We got her almost two years ago. Before that, she was in a household with a sister cat and a dog who terrorized the cats. We had to move recently, so there have been a lot of stressful changes for her in the last four years. She‘s a beautiful and sweet cat with striking green eyes and will make anybody happy for her company. A quiet caring home would be ideal!

Story
Joanne is the kind of cat who makes you smile without even trying. At just around one year old, she’s the perfect mix of playful kitten energy and graceful young adult charm. She carries herself with this quiet confidence that says she knows she’s adorable—and she absolutely is—but she doesn’t need to demand the spotlight to prove it. Joanne is simply herself, and that’s more than enough to win anyone over. If you’ve ever loved a “classic cat,” Joanne is exactly that in the best way. She has her independent streak and enjoys doing her own thing, whether that’s exploring every corner of the room, investigating a new toy, or finding the coziest hidden nap spot you didn’t even know existed. She’s curious, observant, and just the right amount of mischievous to keep life interesting. Don’t be surprised if she quietly supervises your daily routine like a tiny, furry manager making sure everything is up to her standards. Get to know her and watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/LBFQdi0TCcs?si=zR3Ol9qM6EHtYI3p But don’t let her independent spirit fool you—Joanne absolutely has a soft, affectionate side. When she’s ready for love, she will come to you for pets and attention, leaning in sweetly and soaking up every bit of affection. There’s something extra special about earning the love of a cat like Joanne because it feels genuine and chosen. She isn’t clingy, but she wants you, and that makes every moment with her feel meaningful. Joanne is currently being fostered with multiple other cats and does wonderfully with them. She knows how to coexist, socialize, and share her space, making her a great fit for a home with feline friends. She can join in on playful moments or happily do her own thing nearby—she’s adaptable and easygoing in that way. At this age, Joanne is still young enough to be playful and full of life, but she’s also growing into a more relaxed, easy companion. She’s the kind of cat who will entertain you with her little adventures, keep you company without being overwhelming, and bring a calm, happy presence into your home. Joanne is looking for a family who appreciates a cat with personality—one who is confident, curious, affectionate on her own terms, and wonderfully, unapologetically cat-like. If you’re searching for a companion who will make your home feel fuller, warmer, and just a little more fun, Joanne might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
*Rainey will be attending an ADOPTION EVENT today, Sunday April 26, on the North Shore Animal League bus, which will be parked in front of Pet Supplies Plus at 1168 Farmington Ave in Bristol. Please feel free to stop by and meet her! If you would like an application or have any questions, please send an email to us at: info@ht-ac.org Rainey was rescued from an abusive situation. When she arrived, she had no vision in her right eye due to a cataract and posterior synechiae (iris stuck to lens), which may have been the result of trauma or an infection when she was younger. Her eye was removed to prevent painful complications in the future, such as glaucoma. She has fully recovered from the surgery, and is doing well. She is very friendly and loves to play! Due to past trauma, it takes Rainey time to trust people, but she is very loyal and sweet once someone has earned her trust. She is one year old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300.
