Story
Horace, born on 3/6/2020, is an extremely handsome, deep gray/blue boy with sultry green eyes, luscious fur, and a strong personality. He is confident, curious, and very affectionate once he trusts you. He can be a bit sensitive to his environment so needs time to decompress in a new setting before he will show you his true personality. Horace is a friend to most but if someone rubs him the wrong way, he is known to hold a grudge-be that toward a human or another cat. He does love kittens and is a great mentor for a young whipper snapper trying to find his or her place in the world. But if a cat bullies him even once, he has no qualms sticking up for himself and then continuing to exert dominance. So, Horace needs a home with a kitten or very mellow, laid-back, cats who could care less when he’s in a mood. Horace loves a cat tree and is quite playful. He must be kept away from any kind of toy that can be chewed apart and swallowed because he has a notorious history of ingesting string, floss, and tails or ropes from certain toys-to the point he had to have an exploratory surgery to remove the foreign bodies he ingested. Horace may sound like a lot but if you keep him safe and happy, he will reward you with such a strong, loving bond. Adopting from Sheets Pet Clinic cat adoptions is simple! Story
Beautiful GEMMA started out as a feral cat that the cat feeder in the neighborhood would not claim. Then she had a litter of kittens under the nextdoor neighbor’s house. That neighbor worked hard to gain skinny Gemma’s trust and it worked. She was able to trap both mama and babies. Gemma is coming along with help from volunteers, but she needs a quiet, patient home to help her come along. She gets along well with other cats and would likely benefit greatly from having a social cat buddy in the home. She needs an experienced cat owner. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet! Adoption fees for pets with Stanly County Humane Society are to cover the following: *Spay/Neuter *Heartworm/Feline Testing *All standard vaccinations *Rabies Vaccination *Microchip  November 25, 2025, 6:25 pm
