Meet Cubby! Cubby is a Russian Blue mix with a petite frame and precious little paws. She purrs regularly and talks to you if you talk to her. Cubby is a sweet, affectionate snuggle puss. She is great with older cats and dogs, and she would be excellent for children hesitant around cats. Comforting people and pets is what she does best. Cubby and and her littermates were thrown into a dumpster only a week after birth. She was raised by hand, has never been caged, and humans are the only caregivers she knows. Meet Mouse R! Mouse R. has long legs and a beautiful, classic-looking feline face. Likely to grow into a large adult cat, he will be admired by anyone who meets him. Mouse R. is a rambunctious, healthy boy. He plays until too tired to play anymore. His name was earned from his sheer delight in hunting and pouncing on his toys. Mouse R. loves to sleep in a kitten pile with his littermates, and they are his favorite things to play with. He does enjoy sleeping at peoples' feet, and he will let you know when he needs some attention. Mouse R. was found in a dumpster no more than a week after birth with his eyes still closed. He was bottle-fed, never caged, and brought up by hand. People are the only caregivers that he knows. Dallas Tex is the handsomest kitten you’ve ever met and has the sweetest personality to boot. He has the biggest purr and will often raise his little paws up to indicate he wants his human pals to pick him up.   Dallas has grown into a happy and healthy kitten in foster care after being saved from a shelter with his litter mates 30 minutes before they were set to be euthanized. This boy absolutely loves attention and will cuddle up with people and cats alike to satisfy his need for snuggles. He's gotten to meet dogs of various sizes and we think he would enjoy having kids to play with too! Dallas is also an incredibly talented jumper and loves to romp and practice his high jumping skills! He would love to be adopted with another kitten in our program or would like to have another kitty in his forever home since he's such a social butterfly.     Once you submit an application with RHS, please keep an eye on your spam folder. Our communications often end up mistakenly filtered into applicant's spam folders.      Dallas Tex is too young to be adopted, but is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program!   Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in the foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.  RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2034512##

All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Leo T-RS-TC12-19 DOB: 4/5/19 Leo is a very handsome Russian Blue mix. He is cautious when first meeting you but, once he warms up and trusts you he is very affectionate and love pets, cuddles and head scratches. Roo needs a new home that can give him the love and attention he deserves. Since welcoming our son in October we’ve experienced some behavior issues with Roo and no longer have the energy to devote to him. He was a great cat before our son arrived and now our priorities have to be with our infant.

I am Mr Grey. My sweet human momma left this earth and my future was uncertain. Then these kind people took me  and my kitty friends. They rescued us. I am so very grateful to not be in a shelter at my age. I don't need a whole lot- just a cozy bed and food. Oh and I have to have eye drops twice a day. And I was recently diagnosed with arthritis so I get a monthly injection to help with pain and it really helps me be more mobile But I am good about all my medications. I sleep a lot but still purr if you pet me. I am ready to be your quiet companion. Won't you give an old guy a soft place to live out my Senior years. I promise I will stil by you and purr ever so softly.   Mr Grey is FIV+  but not at all aggressive. He could live with another older calm kitty. His eye drops are for chronic herpes virus. We think he must have been on the streets before his human momma took him in.  ##1788738##
