Charlie is a good boy. So sweet and very calm. He deserves love and all the affection he can take. He does great with people, he can get defensive with other cats so he'd probably do better in a home with no other cats. Thanks for looking!

Adoptions include spay, vaccinations and microchip. I came to Dora's Dawgs & Katz as a tiny kitten and won everyone's heart immediately with my big personality and love for snuggles. It was soon discovered that I have a nerve disorder making it difficult for me to control my back end. My mobility and control have improved greatly, but I'll need a loving home prepared to offer a little extra care.

His journey was tough, and he spent his first few years trying to survive on the streets of Houston. But now? You’d never know it from his sweet, affectionate nature. From the very first day he was safely trapped, Jett showed nothing but love and appreciate for his human rescuers. When he came into care, Jett was missing several teeth and suffering from painful infections in the ones he had left. After a full dental procedure, he is now happy, healthy, and toothless… and it hasn’t slowed him down one bit! In fact, he feels so much better and is thriving. Jett is also FIV+, but that simply means he needs to be an indoor-only kitty and receive routine veterinary care, just like any beloved pet. Cats with FIV can live long, wonderful, lives, and Jett is ready to do exactly that with a family of his own. Since being indoors, Jett’s favorite things are human companionship, cozy laps, and making the sweetest little “biscuits” with his paws. He has the tiniest, squeakiest meow that will melt your heart immediately! He is a very calm kitty and is content in most situations. He loves to explore new rooms and areas carefully, but usually only with the company of his foster mom! Jett isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. It’s very difficult to determine his age due to the wear and tear to his teeth from his early years, but we are estimating somewhere between 3-5 years of age (I know, that’s a really big range, but it’s the closest we can get!) Because of the color and texture of his coat, we believe he is a “street special” version of a Russian Blue — he’s definitely got the genes but they’re mixed! While he would be happy as can be in any loving home, we think Jett would really thrive with someone in a semi-calm household looking for a new best friend and lap warmer. He doesn’t really understand toys (yet!!) but he sure does understand love. Jett has lived in a colony with many other kitties his entire life, so he should do just fine with a buddy. Since FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, our toothless and friendly little man will not pose a risk to other kitties. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health overall. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy and has perfect manners in the house. ---

Gigi is the kind of kitten who seems to exist halfway between mischief and magic. One moment she's curled up in a neat little loaf, eyes soft and full of affection, and the next-- she's vanished. Not gone exactly...just somewhere watching. She's sweet in that quiet disarming way--pressing her tiny forehead against you like it's the most natural thing in the world, purring as if she's telling you a secret only you get to hear. But don't let that softness fool you. Because Gigi is also a comedian. She'll stalk a sock like it's a wild animal, wiggling her back end with deadly seriousness--only to pounce and immediately get distracted by a dust mote. And stealthy? Oh she's an expert. Silent paws. Sudden appearances. You'll feel a tiny weight on your shoulder and realize she's somehow climbed you without making a sound. She can materialize behind you, beside you, on you--like a fuzzy little shadow with whiskers. Gigi isn't just a kitten. She's a tiny affectionate ninja with a sense of humor and a heart way bigger than her paws.

Blue is a deaf female Russian Blue grey cat with a silky coat, who has learned to trust and enjoy human company. She is living with a foster who also owns another cat and a small dog. Found at an apartment complex in Seabrook, she has adapted well to indoor living, and is now spayed, microchipped and vaccinated (including FeLV). Blue can be picked up and petted, though is a bit cautious of strangers until familiar with their smell or with reassurance. Blue uses her sight, smell, and feel as her primary senses, and it isn't immediately evident that she is deaf. She loves treats and comes running when she senses it is dinnertime. Maxwell is a 2-year-old Russian Blue whose curiosity knows no bounds (unless hindered by a spray bottle). He's a sweet, cuddly, adventurous boy who loves play time, naps, and snacks. I'd been blessed with Maxwell when a friend had to rehome him back in September. And unfortunately, I now have to rehome him because I'll be moving. Maxwell's ideal home is one with lots of love, patience, and energy. Max loves sunbathing on the balcony and climbing onto high places, such as cabinets and doors. I think he'd do well with a family that has kids. He has no aversion to being picked up, kissed on, or tussled with. Maxwell is very talkative and sassy in the best way, especially when he's demanding food or play time.
