Story
Meet Bruno!Bruno is an absolutely wonderful 3-year-old dog with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He’s playful, energetic, intelligent, and highly trainable—but above all, he loves people. Bruno thrives on human connection and happily soaks up affection, praise, and quality time. He knows “sit” well, is getting the hang of “stay,” behaves beautifully in the car, and gently takes treats from hands. He’s polite around food, rarely barks, and even has an adorable growl-like “purr” he uses when he’s especially happy.Bruno enjoys an active lifestyle balanced with plenty of relaxation. Long walks and hikes (45–60 minutes twice a day), games of fetch, and then sprawling out for a well-earned nap are his ideal routine. He loves being brushed—daily brushing is incredibly calming for him—and he’ll happily let you brush every inch of his thick coat. At home, he’s content to relax when left alone (tested up to 2.5 hours) and isn’t sensitive to loud noises. He also considers himself a 40-lb lap dog and shows affection by leaning into you, sitting on you, and soaking up pets while being told he’s a “good boy.”Bruno can get over-excited when passing people or dogs on walks and is an enthusiastic greeter who engages in more mouth-play than ideal—both common traits for his breed mix and areas he’s actively working on. Because of his strength and delayed maturity typical of northern breeds like Huskies and Samoyeds, he would do best with a younger, high-energy family who enjoys exercise, play, and regular grooming, ideally with a large fenced yard. While we’re not sure how he’d do with very young children or other animals, we’re confident that his intelligence and eagerness to please will help him continue to grow. We’re cherishing our time with Bruno and can’t wait for him to find the forever family he deserves—one that will be rewarded with endless affection, companionship, and joyful moments.
