📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. ---------- Medical History: Previously diagnosed with cryptorchidism (undescended testicle). Corrective surgery has been completed successfully. Rescue Story Kkaekki was born to a stray mother dog who had repeatedly given birth in the neighborhood. Of her final litter of three puppies, two passed away shortly after birth. When Kkaekki was still a newborn and had not yet opened his eyes, a local individual attempted to bury him alive along with the deceased puppies. He was discovered in time and rescued before this could happen. He survived against overwhelming odds and has been under care ever since. He is currently living in a shelter and is ready to find a safe and loving forever home. Compatibility With Cats: Not yet tested. With Other Dogs: Very friendly with all dogs. Suitable for a multi-dog household. With Adults and Children: Very affectionate and friendly with both adults and children. Personality & Behavior Shedding Level (1–10): 4 Leash Manners: He is still getting used to the leash. He may hesitate at first when going outside, but once outdoors, he enjoys the experience. Food Allergies / Diet: No known food allergies. Mild tear staining observed. Not a picky eater. House Training: Prefers outdoor elimination. Separation Anxiety: None observed. Barking: No excessive barking. Likes: Being held and cuddled by people Playing fetch with a ball Current Location: In South Korea (Shelter care) ------------- ** Adoption Fee Information: The adoption fee covers international transportation and medical expenses, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, a health certificate, deworming, and other necessary veterinary care. In addition to the adoption fee, adopters are responsible for separate entry costs, which must be paid directly to the local customs broker who assists with the dog's customs clearance upon arrival at the U.S. airport. Ghost von Gerzen is a stunning 3-4 year-old long-haired white Samoyed and Husky mix (best guess) with a friendly, gentle personality and moderate energy. A true sweetheart who loves human companionship, Ghost comfortably seeks out affection—even happily tucking right between your legs as you walk—and thrives with someone nearby. While he can be a strong boy who starts off pulling on leash when excited, he responds well to calm guidance, settles into a nice pace, and politely walks alongside other dogs. In playgroups, Ghost is comfortable and happy to be included, greeting other pups with a wagging tail, accepting "snout kisses," and showing tolerance. Sensitive yet steady and well-mannered, Ghost will flourish in a loving home that can offer leadership, plenty of affection, and a home with no cats. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
