Blue is a gentle, affectionate boy who likes to follow you around the house. He has a lot of energy and loves getting out for walks at the park, so he'd be happiest with someone who can keep him active. He knows sit, paw, and lie down, and he'd benefit from some more leash practice. Toys aren't really his thing, but he'll do just about anything for a good treat like jerky. When he's done for the day, he'd rather be on the couch than in his dog bed. He also has a pretty serious side eye, but don't let it fool you. He's very sweet. Blue can be a little nervous meeting new people and dogs, so he'd do best in a home that's happy to take things slow with him.

Meet Sadie! Sadie was rescued from a situation of severe neglect. We don’t know much about her history but she was picked up by animal control while running with a pack of other dogs. Her coat had some of the worst matting we’ve seen and her teeth were worn down flat - she had clearly been living outside for many years. Now, she’s healthy and feeling so much better. She’s in a foster home and has started to show us the real Sadie. Sadie is unsure about new people and takes several days to feel comfortable. We are working with a trainer to help her learn that people are safe. We don’t know if this will be a forever thing, or if it’s temporary, but as things are right now she is very uncertain of new people. She does growl and show teeth when she doesn’t know you. But once you’re in with Sadie, you’re IN! She is a total love bug! She loves snuggling and getting belly rubs. Some words from her foster fam: “Sadie is such a caring dog. She absolutely loves to bring her little toys around and squeaks them when she's excited or happy. She's super playful especially when there's food involved. She loves to play catch when you throw food in the air and sometimes if you're lucky, she'll get the zoomies. Once she loves you and gets comfortable with you, she'll check in on you randomly just to give kisses. She loves to cuddle and will stay by your side all night. While she is alert with strangers, the moment those strangers are no longer strangers, she's the sweetest dog ever and will trust you like no other. She's a super curious girl, and loves exploring outside, often looking over at the squirrels while her ears wiggle into bunny ear mode. All she needs at first is a little time and space. But it certainly helps her bring down her walls a little faster when chicken or deli meat is around. She loves working on playing catch, then before you know it her sweet and cuddly side will slowly come out. Finally once she feels safe, she will give you all of her love and enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches the most. She also secretly knows shake, lay down, and sit.” Sadie would do best in any home that can provide love and patience. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Corrective surgery has been completed successfully. Rescue Story Kkaekki was born to a stray mother dog who had repeatedly given birth in the neighborhood. Of her final litter of three puppies, two passed away shortly after birth. When Kkaekki was still a newborn and had not yet opened his eyes, a local individual attempted to bury him alive along with the deceased puppies. He was discovered in time and rescued before this could happen. He survived against overwhelming odds and has been under care ever since. He is currently living in a shelter and is ready to find a safe and loving forever home. Compatibility With Cats: Not yet tested. With Other Dogs: Very friendly with all dogs. Suitable for a multi-dog household. With Adults and Children: Very affectionate and friendly with both adults and children. Appa is a 60 lb Akita mix with a gentle, affectionate soul. She's mid-to-low energy, happiest with two 20–30 minute walks a day, some yard time, and plenty of sunny spots to nap in.Appa is great with kids and cats, and does best as the only dog in the home, though she's gotten along with some calm, low-energy large dogs. She's not a fan of other dogs on walks and needs her space when approached, so a home without a resident dog (or with a very mellow one) suits her best.She adores head scratches, pulls a little on leash but redirects easily with a harness, and loves a good sunbeam to nap in. Appa also has some separation anxiety, so she needs a patient adopter who can help her ease into a new home and avoid leaving her alone the first few weeks.I'm rehoming Appa due to upcoming surgery and want to find her the right fit ASAP.
