Story
Lucas Ray Jackson here! This gorgeous floofball is a charmer! He has many hours greeting people in medical clinics and nursing homes, always bringing a smile! He is looking for a fenced yard so he can sunbathe without the pressure to chase cars and dogs going by. He is reactive on a leash when he sees other dogs, so a strong owner who knows how to work with that is best. He listens to strong commands esp when his full name is used, lol. He lives in a foster home with many other dogs but his personal choice would be a home of his own so he doesnt have to tolerate dogs with dominant or high energy behaviors around him… he would prefer to just chill! He is a dedicated- to- his- person kind of guy. He loooooves car rides and the wind in his hair! contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application. He truly wants a yard with a fence, he loves to lay out and sunbathe, especially in cool weather.

Story
Meet Toby, a handsome adult (estimated age 2-3 years old) neutered male Akita mix who is every bit as sweet as he looks! This boy weighs about 55 lbs currently.  Toby can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how he settles in before committing to adoption. From Toby's current foster:  •He's great with kids•He's cautious of men, not women but once they show him love he's been great•Not cat tested but has shown prey drive seeing neighbors chickens•He's house broken but will have occasionally accidents if he's nervous or learning a new routine of what door to go out of•Very eager to please, loves calm and soft happy interaction •I'd say he would only do good in an apartment if he was actively being taken to the park and long walks often as he loves to explore to get energy out but otherwise he just wants to lay with you and hangout. •He's interacted with my female akita, with only my extreme supervision and stern but calm situation. They have trouble reading each other's body language but both seem to want to play. I believe with more dedicated patience and time working together they could be good together. He's a dominant dog, I'd recommend no other male dogs He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this good boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
