What do you get if you cross a fluffy, white cloud, a Disney Princess, and a Muppet? You get Shayla, and she is the TOTAL PACKAGE. Let's talk Stats: First - just look at her! This girl is so gorgeous that if her pictures go viral, she might break the internet! She is the softest, fluffiest girl with the most beautiful, bright, alert blue eyes. Her constant "smile" will melt your soul. Manners: at just over 2 years old, there is zero worry about the "puppy" nonsense - your shoes are safe and there will be no 2 a.m. wake-ups. Shayla has lovely manners - she walks in, masters the learning curve in record time, then behaves like the dog we all wish we had. The Leash - level: Expert. Shayla LOVES a walk - her tail starts wagging as soon as she sees the leash. And as if to thank you for a stroll through the neighborhood, she walks like a dream! No pulling, no reactivity, just a happy, fluffy-butt trotting down the street. Food and treats - Shayla is the most polite girl - she will happily wait for you to put her bowl down, and she takes treats in the most gentle way, every time. Speaking of treats - Shayla says to tell you to feel free to give them out generously, she is here for the treats, always. The Crate - Shayla is a Pro. She goes in easily at bedtime and sleeps through the night without complaint. She goes in when her Foster Family goes out. And if the crate door is left open during the day, she will happily stroll right in on her own to take a rest. She's a crate All Star. Potty Time - as any girl with lovely manners, Shayla does her business outside, thank you very much. She likes her privacy in the yard (because Shayla says leash walks are for sightseeing and she is NOT doing her "business" in public - rude!) and once she knows where to go, that's what she'll do, as long as her humans remember to let her out consistently, because Shayla reminds us that she does not have opposable thumbs, so she can't open the door herself. Playtime - Shayla is such a happy dog - she loves to play with toys and have a run around the yard, but she never feels the need to go crazy and she's not looking to run a marathon. She loves nothing better than a lil' play sesh, then to settle in for a nice rest. Other Animals - So far, every animal Shayla has met is a friend in her book. She is observant and respectful in her greetings with other dogs, and she can read the room like a pro. Shayla is friendly, gentle, and playful with dogs of all sizes, and if the play gets to be more than she's looking for, she calmly removes herself and does her own thing. Zero drama, 100% bouncy, playful friendliness. And cats? No worries for her! She came, she saw, she walked right by without any fuss. The Car - effortless! Shayla loves a car ride - she will hop right in by herself and happily look out the window or get comfy and lie down for the ride. Affection - Shayla loves love! She is a fan of some pats and scritches, and her favorite: hopping right into your lap to give you a zillion kisses. If Shayla sounds like the perfect dog, that's because, as far as a "pefect" dog is possible, this girl is IT. She is sweet-natured, friendly, gentle, playful, and low-key. She is affectionate without being needy. She's companionable without being full-velcro. She gets along great with other animals, but she'd also be happy to be your one and only. So, what's the catch? Well, there isn't one. But to be sure we're covering all our bases, here is: The Real Talk - Grooming - Shayla has that Samoyed gorgeousness, but she doesn't just "wake up like this", beauty requires care. She needs brushing and occasional grooming to stay free of matts and to keep that undercoat in check. But the bright side is: she likes a bath and is pretty tolerant of the grooming care. The Water Bowl - it's a Shayla thing: most of the time, the water bowl is for drinking, but once in a while, she finds it irresistible to put both front paws right into that cool, clean water and just splash her way to happy town. Shayla would like to note for the record that nobody should play-shame. She likes what she likes and the floor gets clean, too, so it's actually a win/win, don't judge. That's the deal with Shayla. She's beautiful. She's sweet and friendly. She loves everyone she meets. If you need anything else in a dog, Shayla can't imagine what that could possibly be. She has it all.
