Story
Skylar is a female purebred Akita (AKC certified Oct. 5, 2016), we purchased her in September 2016, she is 10 yrs old, vaccinations are up to date, and she is microchipped. She is on record with Newton co. For 2 separate bite incidents (8 yrs apart), She is not aggressive towards people, the bites both occurred from her reaction to people yanking on her rear end and hurting her. She is sensitive in her hind quarters due to age( hips) and she was stung by wasps once in her rear end and does not like her rear end messed with. She has been around small children her entire life, has never been aggressive towards people or dogs, but does not like cats. Skylar is a sweet, good natured member of our family, and we love her very much. The only reason we are trying to adopt her out is the addition of a new baby to our family. She is also a very good watchdog and very intelligent. We are hoping to find a loving household to give Skylar a Family she deserves.
