Story
Eddie is a 7-year-old, 70-75-lb Basset Hound with the soul of a cuddle bug and the heart of a happy clown. One look at his long, velvety ears and soulful eyes and you’ll understand why everyone falls for him instantly. This sweet boy’s favorite place is right in your lap (yes, all 70 pounds of him), especially if it comes with generous ear rubs for those gloriously long ears. Eddie lives for affection and will happily soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Don’t let his laid-back charm fool you—Eddie also enjoys letting loose. He loves to romp around the yard with his dog friends, showing off his playful side before happily settling back down for snuggles. His personality is gentle, joyful, and endlessly kind. He greets everyone with a big smile and often serenades you with his classic baritone Basset “song” when he says hello. Eddie is social and easygoing, doing wonderfully with other dogs, people, and even cats—he’s been happy meeting the kitties in his foster home. He truly believes he’s a special boy (and he’s absolutely right), and he brings warmth, laughter, and comfort wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a dog who will fill your home with love, smiles, and the occasional melodic howl, Eddie is ready to make your life better in every way. He’s not just a good dog—he’s an absolute joy.
