Story
Skip is a 1.5‑year‑old terrier–beagle mix who weighs about 25 pounds and brings a gentle, affectionate presence wherever he goes. He’s a naturally sweet dog who loves being close to his people, happily curling up beside them or following them from room to room. Though calm and easygoing, Skip still shows flashes of youthful energy and curiosity, reminding you that he’s just coming out of his puppy stage. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and even coexists peacefully with caged birds. His patience with children—especially the toddler in his foster home—is remarkable, and he handles their unpredictable antics with quiet tolerance. Skip has made excellent progress with training; he’s gone two weeks without an accident, knows basic commands, and is very food‑motivated. He’s also an unusually quiet dog who rarely barks. Skip can be shy when meeting new people, particularly men, but once he feels safe, he opens up into a warm, cuddly companion who loves attention and belly rubs. Because of his gentle nature and lingering puppy tendencies, he would thrive in a home with another friendly dog or an active family who can include him in their daily routines. Skip is a loving, adaptable dog who’s ready to become a cherished member of a family who appreciates his soft heart and sweet spirit.
