This sweet black and tan coonhound wandered up near Talala just days before Thanksgiving- hungry, scared, and hoping someone might notice her. In only two days, she's shown how gentle and friendly she really is. She happily greets new people, does well with an 11 year old child, is friendly with other dogs, but has made it clear she's not looking to befriend chickens. She even sits politely and comes when called, which is pretty adorable for a little stray who hasn't had much guidance.

Fostered Location: Carbondale, CO Addie is a sweet, tall hound girl who's shy and cautious at first but full of enough curiosity to want to get past it. She's had a rough start ending up in a dog pound in MO, but she's beginning to come out of her shell- she loves running and playing when she feels brave, ESPECIALLY with other hounds!! Addie would do best in a calm, patient home, ideally with another dog to help her gain confidence. She'll need a family who can give her support and reassurance so she can feel safe enough to relax, have fun, and start learning what it's like to be a puppy. If you're ready to help a shy but sweet dog feel loved, Addie is ready to meet you!

Story
We rescued Tails from SPCA several months ago. We love her but didnt realize just how busy we are until getting her. Every time we leave she has to get put up and we are leaving often. I find this is not fair for her. She is fantastic with our 5 year old. She loves other dogs. Im not sure with cats. She is around 25-28 pounds. Her birthday is March 3rd and she turns 1. Tails loves people. She is one of the sweetest babies weve ever had. But since she is still a puppy, although mostly house trained, she still has an accident every so often. She loves chewing on her favorite toys and loves running around in the yard as well. She loves to play but also loves snuggles and attention. She would be best in a home with plenty of attention to give her and a big yard to run around in. We cant give her that unfortunately. We will give you food, food bin, bowls, pin, and toys as well.
