Tessa is a sweet black and tan coonhound who wandered up hungry and scared just days before Thanksgiving, hoping someone might notice her. Thankfully someone did, and it didn’t take long for her gentle, friendly personality to shine through. Tessa is the kind of dog who wants to be close to people. She’s affectionate, warm, and incredibly snuggly in her foster home, happily soaking up attention whenever it’s offered. She greets new people with a friendly attitude, has done well around a child, and gets along nicely with the other dog in her foster home. She’s currently working on crate training and settling into the routines of home life, and she’s picking things up along the way. Like many young hounds, she has a playful side and really enjoys having another dog around. In fact, she would likely love a home with a younger canine companion who can match her energy and be her playmate. Tessa is a loving, social girl who just wants to belong somewhere. A home with plenty of affection, a dog friend to play with, and people who enjoy a loyal, snuggly companion and have time to work on training and manners would make her very happy.

Story
Coney is a VERY funny puppy from our hot dog litter! This little guy was found abandoned in a playpen outside and was nervous around people at first- but NOT ANYMORE!! This guy is still all about attention- still loves belly rubs, still has the absolute cutest habit of smacking things (or nothing) with his front paws. What we've learned since having him in foster is that he has one of the biggest personalities of any puppy ever to live. He's very silly, playful, and vocal while still being eager to learn and genuinely wanting to please. Not only is he very snuggly, but he knows how to make his own fun- even when there's not much going on. Coney is an absolute joy to be around. He has a great sense of humor and impeccable comedic timing. He would benefit from a family who loves a dog who has lots to say and will allow him to shine without dimming his light (but maybe also help him learn when it's appropriate to shine). This little guy is the kind of dog who stands out despite being in a group of siblings who look pretty similar to him. He has officially stolen the heart of everyone he's met, learned that people are pretty great, discovered how fun being loved can be, and he's looking forward to a future full of so many good things he forgets that he ever had it any other way ❤️ P. S. We did a DNA test on Coney's litter! He's 55% Basset, and the rest is a mix of German Shepherd, Boxer, and Husky!
