Lessons learned so far include: sit, short stay, off, wait, leave it, drop it, come when called, kennel, potty trained, and walking on a leash. When I first came to my foster mom's home, I was full of it, it was all about me. I am still a puppy so what did I really know? I've learned a lot. Not just from people, but the other dogs as well. Such as social behaviior. They let me know what was okay and what was not. They taught me a lot. I do have lots of energy but also enjoy the quiet times, even just watching the squirrels, playing in the trees, and sitting in the grass. There is a large garage here that someone is always outside working in. I like to keep them company and just hang out. Belly rubs are one of my favorite times of day. I also enjoy running around in the big yard with the other dogs. I have not been around cats here, however my foster mom has taught me to leave the birds, squirrels, turtles and guinea hens alone (sometimes I run in their direction just to see them scatter.) It has been too cold to see if I can swim. I was just spayed. I am not afraid of the pool. If you adopt me, please note that I am a very fast learner and want to please. I sleep on the bed and on the furniture. I am very sweet and loveable, including with men and children as long as they are easy with me. I am ready for my forever home! If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
