Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This adorable little boy was picked up as a stray in Kentucky, so we know absolutely nothing about his past.  But we've learned a lot about him while he has been in our care!    He is very affectionate and loves to be with his human(s) at all times.    He's about 8 years old, and weighs 23#.   We think he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  Initially we thought he would probably enjoy having a canine friend to play with (one who will likely allow him to be alpha), but now we think he would prefer to be an 'only child'.   He's curious about cats, but hasn't bothered the cats in his foster home. Auggie does great on a leash, he's good in the car, house trained and will let you know when he has to go outside and potty.  He easily uses doggie stairs to get up into bed, and he's a great couch companion.  Like many Eskies, he is vocal and slightly demanding at times when he wants something.   He loves his food, and even loves frozen green beans as a treat!  He's currently on a prescription canned food to keep crystals from forming in his urine, which he loves.  It's readily available at Chewy and in pet stores.    (he has a written script for the food, which we will give to adopter).  He does best on soft and canned foods, due to the fact that he had severe periodontal disease when we got him.  He had multiple cracked, broken, and missing teeth, and the vet gave him a 4/4 score for his dental condition.  We usually see that when dogs have spent a lot of time chewing on kennel bars, or trying to eat rocks.   When Auggie had his dental done, most of his teeth were removed, and we're sure he's feeling so much better now because of that.   If you have any questions about Auggie, please contact Cheryl@eskierescuers.org.  Or complete our online Adoption Application, the link is part way down this page: https://www.eskierescuers.org/info/display?PageID=21057  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Daisy is a female Eskie pup, spayed and now ready for adoption.  Are you looking for an exceptional, smart dog?  That's Daisy! Lessons learned so far include:  sit, short stay, off, wait, leave it, drop it, come when called, kennel, potty trained, and walking on a leash.  When I first came to my foster mom's home, I was full of it, it was all about me. I am still a puppy so what did I really know?  I've learned a lot.  Not just from people, but the other dogs as well.  Such as social behaviior.  They let me know what was okay and what was not.  They taught me a lot. I do have lots of energy but also enjoy the quiet times, even just watching the squirrels, playing in the trees, and sitting in the grass.  There is a large garage here that someone is always outside working in.   I like to keep them company and just hang out.  Belly rubs are one of my favorite times of day.  I also enjoy running around in the big yard with the other dogs.  I have not been around cats here, however my foster mom has taught me to leave the birds, squirrels, turtles and  guinea hens alone (sometimes I run in their direction just to see them scatter.) It has been too cold to see if I can swim.  I was just spayed.  I am not afraid of the pool.   If you adopt me, please note that I am a very fast learner and want to please.  I sleep on the bed and on the furniture.  I am very sweet and loveable, including with men and children as long as they are easy with me.   I am ready for my forever home!  Momma E (foster mom) tells me all the time that I am ready to give that someone special all my love, and I deserve it.   Put your application in , I won't last long!   You will find the link to our Adoption Application partway down this page on our website:  https://www.eskierescuers.org/info/display?PageID=21057 If you have any questions, please email:  Cheryl@eskierescuers.org  Adoption fee applies.    Please keep in mind that ERU processes local adoption applications before considering those from out of state.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. Both boys are very snuggly and loving, their favorite thing is spending time with people. both are crate trained and very social with other dogs. They are both good on leashes. They enjoy squeaking toys but don't play with them all too much. Both are happy to just sit around and be lazy but also love going on walks. They are not very food motivated. They are good with men and women and probably would be good with children but we don't know if they have ever met a child. They would probably be ideal for an older person or older couple who wants dogs that are not super energetic and happiest just being around them. They will need to be adopted together as they are bonded.Milo is almost 6 (4/20/20) Zach is 5.5 (10/12/20)For more information please contact the owner  Bridig  brigid.mclaughlin@campbowwow.comRehoming fee applies.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 31, 2026, 8:51 am
