🐾 BUDDY is a new surrender whose owner could no longer keep him where moving. He's just a year old and 19 lbs - looks to be some kind of Pomeranian mix with something a bit bigger since he's close to 20 lbs. SUPER sweet, friendly, playful, housetrained, and snuggly! We've got him vetted except neutering which he is on our schedule for and is included in his adoption fee. Gorgeous, sweet dog! 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌 IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Koji - approximately 6 years old (he has lived a very rough life before we saved him :( He is a medium sized boy and American Eskimo mix :) So so cute! His foster family has this to say about him, "He is great with everyone. Loves cats and other dogs. But not a fan of small puppies right off. He is great with people. Rides perfect in a car and walks perfect on a leash. He's a very chill dog. Quiet and hardly ever barks, even when the doorbell rings. Really only barks once to come inside. He thinks he's a cat. Loves sitting on the top of the couch. He's housebroken and crate trained. He will also use a potty pad if he doesn't get let out soon enough. He's literally the perfect dog. He doesn't lick and doesn't really cuddle. But he does like to sleep and hang out near people. He likes to play tug. He's very fluffy and soft. He came to us with almost no hair and overwhelming yeast and bacterial infections all over his body :( I mean, can you imagine how long he suffered?? Now that he is growing his beauriul mane, he doesn't really shed and his flakes are clearing up. Still has a tendency to bite and gnaw on his leg, but I think a lot of that is compulsive. He's such a great little guy with the most easy going personality." If you know the Eskie breed you will know he is AWESOME!! Adopt him and give him all the love he deserves!! He is waiting!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
