Story
Name: Bear Gender: Male Age: 2-3 years Current Weight: 45 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Shiba Inu mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog Cat Friendly: Selective Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Unknown Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: A home where Bear’s people are home more than away outside of work to give a good amount of attention. A home with kids/adults who want to give him lots of play and exercise, preferably with a fenced yard and maybe another dog who likes to run and jump so they can play with each other. Likes: Bear loves to run outside and play fetch. He also loves to run around and play with other dogs. When inside, he loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He also will gently wrestle with you or play tug of war when he gets playful indoors. He loves to chase cats but only to play. He may be a bit relentless in his pursuit, but he is never mean with them when he gets close. He was found loose in a park playing with a group of kids and in general, he is very sweet and charming. He hasn't met a person that he doesn't like. Dislikes: He barks at any animal he sees out a window. He is only curious although it may come off as overprotective. When left alone and uncrated, he can chew on things he isn't supposed to but is generally not destructive. He loves to beg for food and may take it off your plate if you aren't paying attention. What makes this dog special: Bear would make a wonderful friend for a loving family. He enjoys all the attention you are willing to give and greets everyone with an abundance of tail wags and wiggles. He has such a fun, charismatic personality that you can't help but fall in love and he will give you as much love as you give him. It is very likely that being around Bear will be the brightest part of your day. Bear's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2426382##
