Anna is an adorable 2-year-old Pomeranian mix weighing about 13 pounds. This sweet girl has never met a stranger—she absolutely loves people and is always ready to soak up attention and affection. Whether she's cuddling on the couch or following you around the house, Anna's happy place is wherever her humans are. Anna is a big fan of squeaky toys and can happily entertain herself with her favorite toy before coming back for more pets and praise. She also loves snacks and will gladly accept treats for being the good girl she is! She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having doggy friends. Anna walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and is mostly housetrained. With a consistent routine, she should continue to thrive in her new home. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate companion with a fun-loving personality, Anna may be the perfect addition to your family. She's ready to bring lots of love, tail wags, and squeaky-toy adventures to her forever home! Interested in becoming a forever home for Anna? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $750. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Otto is a 3-year-old Pomeranian we have had since puppyhood. He is very affectionate, loves cuddling, and bonds deeply with his people in calm, predictable environments.Over the past 2 years, Otto has struggled with significant anxiety and reactivity despite professional training, behavioral medication, and extensive management. He has a bite history involving both adults and children in the home, initially around food/resource guarding and more recently in situations involving resting, handling, startle responses, and overstimulation. Most bites have caused bruising or marks rather than severe injury, but his triggers have become less predictable over time.Otto needs an adult-only home with experienced owners who understand anxious/reactive dogs and can provide a calm, structured, low-stimulation environment where he can feel safe and secure. Thank you for your consideration!

Story
Meet Harold Male DOB: June 14, 2023 Weight: 26 pounds (medium small) Breed: Parson Russell Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Harold is a friendly, happy-go-lucky dog with a loving personality and a heart full of affection. At 3 years old, he has the perfect balance of maturity and energy, making him an excellent companion for a variety of homes and lifestyles. Harold enjoys spending time with people and has an easygoing nature that helps him make friends wherever he goes. Whether he's joining you on walks, relaxing at home, or simply enjoying time with his family, Harold is happiest when he is included and loved. As a Parson Russell Terrier / American Eskimo Mix, Harold will be an intelligent, playful, and affectionate companion with a lively personality and a deep love for their family. This breed mix often combines the Parson Russell Terrier's confidence, curiosity, and adventurous spirit with the American Eskimo Dog's intelligence, loyalty, and eagerness to please. The result is a bright, engaging dog that enjoys both learning and spending time with the people they love. These dogs thrive on companionship and enjoy being involved in everyday family life. They are quick learners who respond exceptionally well to positive reinforcement training and benefit from activities that challenge both their mind and body. Daily walks, interactive play, puzzle toys, and training sessions help keep them happy, confident, and well-balanced. A Parson Russell Terrier / American Eskimo Mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and active play Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, a Parson Russell Terrier / American Eskimo Mix grows into a loyal, well-mannered, and devoted companion who enjoys both exciting adventures and relaxing with their forever family. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even friendly and well-adjusted dogs benefit from continued guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement after adoption. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Harold will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, rescue dogs like Harold blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Harold will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Harold thrive in his future home. Harold is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
