If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

MAX: Schnoodle Mix • Neutered Male • 3 Years Old • 17 lbs MAX is a gentle soul who has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. He is a very calm and independent boy who gets along well with other dogs. He is not a dog who barks excessively or destroys things—he simply enjoys having a peaceful place where he can finally feel safe. Because of his sad past, Max is still learning that people can be kind. He may be a little reserved at first, but as he begins to feel safe and loved, his gentle personality starts to shine. All Max needs is patience, kindness, and someone willing to show him that his life can be different now. Once he trusts you, he will quietly appreciate every bit of love and security you give him. Max was surrendered to the CAC (Canine Care Center) along with several other dogs, including Karla. Max and Karla share a very special bond and find comfort in one another. They had been taken to the shelter to be euthanized by the very owner who, according to reports, had mistreated them. Thankfully, a rescuer stepped in and refused to let their story end there. Max was given a second chance—a chance to leave behind the fear and sadness of his past and discover what it feels like to be loved. Now he is learning to trust, learning to feel safe, and slowly discovering that he is worthy of kindness. Max may not ask for much. He simply wants a peaceful home, a patient person, and the reassurance that he is finally safe. After everything he has been through, Max deserves to spend the rest of his life knowing that he is loved, wanted, and never going to be abandoned again. Story
Milo is a 9-year-old schnoodle mix living in LA! We've had him since he was a puppy (his mom was an abandoned schnoodle that delivered her puppies after being rescued). He's a sweet, mild tempered little guy who loves snuggling, attention, and playing like a puppy. He's sometimes anxious around big dogs. He's been a great companion to my husband and I, and our toddler. Most days, he allows her to play as she wishes and has only ever once delivered a soft warning hold on her hand when he felt things were too rough. He's considered hypo-allergenic. He's housetrained, but since having children, has consistently had accidents in the house. Part of this is him not getting the time and attention he deserves, which leads us to his listing here. We are moving out of the country and are looking for someone/a family to take in Milo as their own and give him the time & dedication he needs. He truly is a wonderful dog. He's currently walked and fed 2x a day, but would thrive on a 3x day schedule.

Oreo is a handsome 3-year-old, 20-pound black and white Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix (full DNA below) with a soft, non-shedding coat. He will require regular professional grooming throughout his life, and thankfully he’s a great sport about it. Oreo is a calm, well-mannered companion who settles beautifully into his home routine. Hes happiest lounging near his people, going for leisurely walks, or proudly carrying around his favorite little football toy. He walks nicely on leash, is potty trained, well behaved in the home, and has an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to live with. Oreo is affectionate, loves back scratches and belly rubs. He gets excited with tail wags and zoomies when his foster family gets back home, even if they were only gone a short wild. He gets along well with other dogs and will tolerate cats, but we believe he would be happiest as the center of someone’s world in a home where he doesn’t have to share attention. Oreo is an outgoing boy who will happily allow pets with new people he meets.
