Story
Hopeful Hannah is finally having her faith in humanity restored at our Sanctuary. This poor girl was left behind when her family lost their home. For nearly three months, she lived in the bushes between her old house and a kind neighbor who was feeding her. She was reported to the city shelter multiple times, but sadly, no one came to help her. Thankfully, Hannah is now safe with us. Hannah appears to be a 1½-year-old Schnoodle mix. This pretty girl weighs 23 pounds and has a very soft gray-and-white coat that will need a couple of good grooming’s and good food to look her very best. Despite everything she has been through, Hannah is incredibly sweet. She gives little kisses and loves to nuzzle your neck. Because of the trauma of being abandoned, she will need patience and extra time to feel safe and settle into her forever home. Hannah would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She is scheduled to be spayed, but we are looking for her family now. She is microchipped, currently vaccinated, and has been treated for fleas. A calm adult home is best for Hannah. Rescues like Animal Friends Connection Humane Society rely completely on donations from people who care. We do not receive tax dollars. Your support allows us to say YES to animals like Hannah when they have nowhere else to go. Please help us give Hannah the happy ending she deserves #ADOPTINGSAVESLIVES. #DONATINGSAVESLIVES. We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.
1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.
2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)
a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.
b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.
c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.
3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org
4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/
