Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada in Clifton, Texas at approx 8 weeks old. Litter of 8, 6 male, 2 female, not fixed, too young for rabies. Accidental litter, both parent dogs were fixed and stayed with their families. From the foster: Meet Wells – Your Future Adventure Buddy! 🐾 At just 9 weeks old, Wells is already stealing hearts everywhere he goes! This sweet little guy is rumored to be a Husky & Yorkie/Poodle mix, which means he’s likely to grow into the perfect blend of playful energy, intelligence, and cuddly charm. Wells is truly a lover at heart—his tail wags enthusiastically during mealtime, when greeting new people, and when meeting other dogs. Happiness is his default setting! He has done outstanding with two small children and is incredibly gentle and affectionate with them, making him a wonderful family companion. He’s also off to an amazing start with potty training and is already doing so well in his routine. When it’s time to rest, Wells happily curls up in his cozy crate for naps and bedtime, showing just how adaptable and smart he is. In his foster home, Wells has done great with an older dog, proving he can fit right in with canine siblings too. He’s full of personality, love, and joy, and he’s absolutely going to be an incredible adventure partner for someone ready to explore life with a loyal little shadow by their side. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Accidental litter, both parent dogs were fixed and stayed with their families. From the foster: Meet Gracie (#829), a spunky little sweetheart with a big sense of adventure! She loves exploring the outdoors and is doing well with her potty training as long as she gets regular trips outside. Gracie will cuddle when she’s in the mood, but isn't necessarily a lap dog. She’s always ready to play, either chasing her sister or zooming around with her favorite toys - she is deep in the teething phase. She may also sneak in a gentle hair nibble now and then… ponytails beware! This blue-eyed beauty came to CPR from Texas with her seven siblings and has been charming everyone she meets. She’s great with dogs and kids, though she’s still learning her manners and often has to be reminded that fingers and toes are not toys. With a little patience and consistency, we know she’ll blossom into the sweetest, best-mannered companion. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

From the foster: Meet Knox – A Sweet, Wise Little Soul in a Puppy Body 🐾 At just 9 weeks old, Knox is already showing the kind of personality that makes everyone stop and smile. This handsome boy is rumored to be a Husky & Yorkie mix, giving him a wonderful blend of intelligence, charm, and just the right amount of playful spirit. Knox has a naturally calm, watchful demeanor and seems to take everything in with thoughtful curiosity—like an old soul in the body of a puppy. Don’t let that gentle calm fool you, though—he is also playful, happy, and full of life, especially when he’s with his people. This little guy adores being held, loves to snuggle, and truly thrives on human affection. He has done outstanding with small children and has also done wonderfully with an older dog in the home, showing that he reads other dogs’ cues beautifully and interacts with them in a respectful, playful way. Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Cane #2 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Cane #2 | 2-Year-Old Poodle Mix | Playful and Full of Personality Cane is an energetic and affectionate 2-year-old Poodle mix with a heart as big as his personality. This sweet boy is nearly house-trained, enjoys walks, and thrives on love, attention, and treats. Cane is playful, friendly, and loves cuddling—he’s the kind of pup who will happily show his belly for rubs and prance around the room when he’s excited. He even has a little “dance” that is sure to make you smile! Cane gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happiest in a home where he has a canine companion to play with. While he hasn’t met cats or kids yet, he has a gentle and affectionate nature that suggests he could adapt well with proper introductions. He’s food-motivated, responds well to love and attention, and already knows basic commands like come, stay, no, and off. This little guy would do best in a home where someone is around for most of the day, whether working from home or retired. Cane loves being part of the action and will thrive with a family that can give him the attention he craves. While he can be a little mouthy during play, he takes treats gently and is eager to learn and please. Cane came to us as a stray, and now he’s ready to find a forever home where he can share his playful energy, cuddles, and endless charm with a loving family.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $500. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
