Story
Lila is a sweet, playful pup who is looking for her forever home—alongside her beloved sister, Chaca. The girls were sadly abandoned in New Mexico, but they haven’t let that dim their joyful spirits. Estimated to be around 11 months old, Lila is full of puppy energy, curiosity, and love. Lila and Chaca are truly inseparable. They love playing together, cuddling up for naps, and welcoming any dog friends who come to visit. Lila is friendly, social, and does wonderfully with other dogs and children. She’s also a smart girl who is quick to learn new tricks and eager to please. We are hoping to find a loving family willing to adopt both sisters together, giving them the safe, happy life they deserve. If you’re looking to double the love, laughter, and tail wags, Lila (and Chaca!) may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Chaca is a lovable, playful pup with a heart as big as her personality. She and her sister, Lila, were abandoned in New Mexico, but despite their rough start, Chaca is full of joy and affection. Estimated to be around 11 months old, she’s at that wonderful age where curiosity, energy, and sweetness shine through. Chaca is deeply bonded with her sister and the two are truly inseparable—whether they’re playing, exploring, or snuggling up together. She loves meeting other dogs, enjoys having dog friends visit, and does great with children. Chaca is also smart and eager to learn, picking up new tricks quickly and happily. We are hoping to find a loving forever home that will adopt both Chaca and Lila together, so they can continue growing up side by side. If you’re looking for a sweet companion (or two!) who will fill your home with love and puppy kisses, Chaca may be the perfect fit.

Story
Hemi is a 14-lb poodle/Shih Tzu mix with a gentle and sweet nature. He can be a bit shy and timid at first, especially in new environments, but he has a loving heart that just needs time to feel safe and secure. Once he starts to settle in, his personality slowly begins to shine through. Hemi may do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help him learn the ropes and feel more comfortable as he adjusts. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Hemi will continue to gain confidence and grow into a more relaxed and trusting companion. He’s looking for an understanding home willing to give him the time he needs to truly flourish. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
I love my humans once I warm up! I am an 8-year-young poodle mix weighing approximately 12 pounds. I may take a little time to warm up, but once I am comfortable I am very social and I will actively seek my human's company, to hang out and receive lots of scratches and pets. I can be a little vocal with new people and I am fearful of young children. I may do best with older children, 12 years old and older. I do well with other dogs and have no real interest in cats. General Socialization Notes: I enjoy going for walks but I should wear a harness, as I tend to pull. I am learning crate training but I am a bit noisy when it’s time to come out. I will need consistent trips outside to stay on track with my potty routine. I do need a bit of time to warm up to new people. Does Otis like other animals? I do well with other dogs and have no interest in cats. Does Otis like children? I may do best with older children, 12 years old and older. Favorite Toys: I love to play with toys and I enjoy appropriate chews such as cow hooves and bully sticks. Treats and enrichment toys like Kongs are my favorites! Ideal Forever Home: I need a family that is willing to give me a regular grooming to prevent mats and keep up my overall handsome appearance. I look forward to training with my new family! I would likely do well in an apartment as long as my potty routine is maintained. I'd also do well in a home setting. I'd be fine with other dogs and cats too. Older children please.

Story
0825102 - Meet Amber! Amber is an almost 7-year-old miniature poodle who’s ready to start her new life as someone’s beloved companion. She came to us from a breeder after retiring from having puppies and is now discovering what it means to be part of a loving family. After spending much of her life in a kennel, everyday things like grass and leashes are still new to her, but she’s making steady progress in her foster home. Amber has recently learned the joy of playing fetch with her stuffed animals and is starting to show her fun, affectionate personality. She can be shy at first, but once she warms up, she loves curling up next to her foster mom on the couch for snuggles. Like many dogs from similar backgrounds, Amber is still working on her house training. With a consistent routine and patient guidance, she’s doing very well and rarely has accidents when kept on schedule. Amber gets along well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up all the attention. She is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has had a dental cleaning — she’s all set for her forever home! If you’re looking for a gentle, loving soul to cherish, Amber is your girl. Apply to adopt at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##2511692##
