Their time was running out, but Big Dog Ranch Rescue stepped in to give them a second chance. Since arriving at the Ranch, Ava and Zeus have received all the medical care, love, and affection they need. They are learning everything they need to grow into happy, loving pups and are now ready to begin the next chapter of their lives — finding forever families who will cherish them and give them the homes they deserve.

Hello, my name is Shaggy, and I’m a mini Poodle full of personality, charm, and more curls than you can count! I’m a young adult, just under 20 pounds, with dark black curly hair so fluffy that sometimes my eyes blend right in. I’m a playful little guy, bursting with energy, always ready for fun, and eager to make new friends. I’ve done really well with other dogs, and I love saying hello to everyone I meet. I’m social, silly, and always excited to be part of whatever’s going on. I do have a high pitched bark, and I can get a little extra when I’m excited, but with some guidance I can learn when to use my voice. Basic training would be wonderful for me, not only to help me learn my manners but also because it would be a great bonding experience for my new person. I’ll need a dedicated person who can keep me busy, help me with training, and make sure I’m groomed when my curls get a little too wild. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart, endless enthusiasm, and joyful greetings every time you walk in the door. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic little buddy who’s ready to be your new best friend, I hope you’ll come meet me.
