Story
Behaviors: Mule is gentle and sweet. Sometimes loud noises or abrupt gestures make him back up and lie on his tummy. He is still learning that he's safe now. Cats: indifferent Other dogs: comfortable, sometimes curious, usually indifferent Children: loves children Adults: loves adults, greets visitors Potty Training Progress: Work in progress, needs a committed home to continue his training Other behavioral info: Mule doesn't bark unless resident dogs bark, then he joins in. Watch carefully for sticks and other unsafe small chewable items. He does great if he has a Nylabone or other toys meant for safe chewing. Great things about Mule: This buddy is a lover! He climbs all over the humans, brings stuffies for fetch, is amazing on a leash and in the car, allows belly bands and harness to be put on easily, behaves at the vet, he's curious and calm, and he tolerates baths and grooming. Foster is brushing and removing old mats daily, because poodles do require frequent grooming. Adopter will need to have or establish a relationship with a groomer. Other things to know about Mule: Mule gets jealous! He's being fostered with three resident dogs his size, and when anybody is getting pets, he will try to gently but firmly insert himself. When other dogs are playing with toys, he chases the toys fastest, and brings them to the foster family. He wants to please his people. We practice waiting his turn by making him last in line for treats each time, and he is doing well. Mule also prefers to sleep with humans- kids or adults- as opposed to his kennel.

Story
Behaviors- Cats: Not tested Other dogs: Loves his dog friends Children: very unsure right now but a little curious. Adults: If he trusts you, he loves you Potty Training Progress: Doing really well on a good schedule. Great things about Pooh: Pooh is pure fun! He loves you with his whole being. I mean just look at this absolutely unique beautiful poodle! He will literally wrap his little front paws around my leg and hug me. He is really happy if you will hold his paw. He is very smart and is catching onto things very quickly. But loud quick things can be a bit scary still. Slow and steady is best with Pooh. He is around a lot of other dogs right now and is doing great with each one of them. He is learning to respect boundaries with the other dogs. He is a perfect size. Not too big and not too small. His facial expressions are priceless. I swear he is trying to communicate. He is learning to play with toys and is entertaining himself very well with them.

Story
Behaviors: Palmer is slowly learning that he is safe and loved. He is figuring out his foster family’s daily routines and is starting to fit right in. He is a super eater and sleeper and wants to play with his foster brothers but they aren’t too interested (they are older and grumpy). Palmer doesn’t seem to be too scared of strangers that come to the door and has been friendly to any neighbor dogs that he’s encountered. He sometimes barks at his foster dad but lets him hold and pet him when foster dad picks him up. He frequently wants to his foster mom to hold him and carry him around, so she doesn’t get her chores done sometimes. He loves the soft treats he gets after going potty outside but hasn’t learned to take those treats from his human's hands. Cats: untested Other dogs: No aggression and tries to play occasionally Children: untested but we’ve seen no reason to believe he wouldn’t be great will any age kids Adults: Nervous but overall curious and soon wants to be cuddled. Potty Training Progress: great! No accidents or marking since the first full week after coming into foster care. He often scratches at the door or rings the bell on the door but sometimes that just means he wants to go outside to explore, not necessarily that he needs to potty. Crate training: Perfect from night 1. Sleeps all night in his crate in the fosters’ bedroom without a peep. Also does well in his crate while the humans are away from the house. Leash Training: He doesn’t love it, sometimes biting at it when we’re in the front yard. Due to the awful weather conditions we’ve had since he’s been in care, he’s had almost zero opportunity to take walks. Once the weather dries and warms up, we think he’ll love taking short walks with his foster brothers. Great things about Palmer: Palmer is very smart and eager to please. He takes correction well although he needs very little of it. He can use the doggie door and runs up the stairs but hasn’t figured out going downstairs yet. If you’re looking for a 9lb purse puppy, he would love to be your guy. As his name implies, he’s “simply irresistible” but also possibly “addicted to love”
