Cattrick is a 4-year-old poodle mix who brings together the best of both worlds: the gentle sweetness of a little prince and the playful energy of a young pup. When he arrived at the shelter he was so severely matted that he needed an extreme makeover, and now he’s ready for a home that can give him a warm, cozy place to settle in for the winter. At about 37 lbs, he’s house-trained and crate-trained, loves to cuddle, and is wonderfully curious on his walks as he gets used to all the new sounds of NYC. He enjoys toys, loves a good game of catch, and has been nothing but kind and respectful with his foster sister. He already knows “sit,” and his eager-to-please personality makes him a joy to have around. Cattrick is the kind of dog who fills a home with warmth, fun, and an easy, steady happiness. She has fully recovered but needs care to help her fur grow back. 🙏 * Not spayed yet. * Microchipped, and getting treatment for heartworm. Completely recovered from anaplasmosis and giardiasis. * Her bedsores were severe at the time of the rescue but she’s completely recovered. She does fine with medicated baths just once every two weeks. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Miso was rescued with two puppies from an animal hoarder in the Gimje area and then brought to the Gimje City Shelter. She had already developed severe bedsores, but did not get appropriate treatment there. As less care was expected especially during the week-long Chuseok holiday, Adogs rushed to the rescue of Miso, thinking that she couldn't wait further. One of her puppies passed away, but #AdogsChapssal has met a lifelong family. Currently, Miso is waiting for her own family at our center. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is a bit shy to new people, but it doesn't take long to get close to them! Approaches familiar people first with her tail wagging, and accepts their petting well. * With Dogs: Is not very interested in other dogs at our center, and tends indifferent towards them. * With Cats: Her reaction has not confirmed yet because she hasn't met them. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed because she currently lives in a group at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed because she currently lives at our center. May need to be trained from scratch when she starts a life with family. * Hygiene: Got her nails trimmed at the vet after rescue. Seemed uncomfortable with it, but she got through it with no big fuss. * Walks: Hasn't had a walk yet because she is undergoing treatment for heartworm. * Car Sickness: Showed no motion sickness when moved to the vet clinic after rescue. * Is wary in frightful situations or when she doesn’t like something, but has never bitten. * Likes treats so much that it's easy to get close to her! * Is wary when people suddenly approach or try to hug her. Feels uncomfortable when they try to force her to do something.
